Green Energy Consumers Alliance (c3)

Organization Description

Founded in 1982, Green Energy Consumers Alliance empowers consumers and communities to speed a just transition to a zero-carbon world. With a team of approximately 20 employees in Massachusetts and Rhode Island, we advance clean energy solutions across transportation, buildings, and electricity through programs and advocacy. Our programmatic priorities include expanding our Green Municipal Aggregation, Drive Green, heat pump, and solar programs; exploring emerging clean energy technologies that can benefit low- and moderate-income households and renters; and educating consumers about clean energy opportunities and incentives. We also advocate for state-level energy and climate policies that advance equitable decarbonization.

2026 Programs

Green Energy Consumers operates programs that range from consumer education to group buys. The organization started this work in 1982 with a heating oil buyers' co-op in Boston and has since taken the same ethos of aggregating consumers and providing energy solutions to various clean energy technologies, including green electricity, municipal aggregation, electric vehicles, heat pumps, solar, demand response, and emerging clean energy technologies. For 2026, we are taking our knowledge of emerging clean energy technologies and translating it into deployments in LMI and rental properties across Rhode Island and Massachusetts, leveraging our experience with group buy programs.

Faith Alliance for Climate Solutions | FACS (c3)

Organization Description

Faith Alliance for Climate Solutions (FACS) organizes the power of Virginia’s faith communities and people of good will to advance local solutions to the urgent moral challenge of climate change. We began as a discussion group in a Unitarian church basement a decade ago. Today, we have some 3,000 supporters in five regional hubs, a small staff, influence with elected officials throughout Northern Virginia and the state capitol of Richmond, and a proud record of accomplishments. FACS is a trusted partner with local governments, state and local organizations, and over 225 faith communities in the region.

2026 Programs

This summer, we launched the Urban Heat Island Mapping Project and recruited 80+ citizen scientist volunteers. When George Mason University completes data analysis, we’ll advocate for local governments to address heat in low-income areas. Our second major program is to advocate for solar parking lot canopies. Earlier this year, our state-level advocacy was key to the passage of two laws: one requires our utility to assess and plan for Battery Electric Storage Systems; another is a national model for Data Center Transparency. We also host an annual Sustainability Champions Awards, a Climate Crisis Forum, and nurture congregational green teams.

United for Respect Education Fund (c3)

Organization Description

United for Respect Education Fund (UFREF) is a national grassroots organization building a movement rooted in the innovation, power, and leadership of working people in low wage jobs, particularly women and Black, Indigenous, and other people of color. Low-wage jobs employ over 31 million people across urban, suburban, and rural communities – 28% Black, 28% Latino, 56.7% women and 52.9% under the age of 34. Organizing and activating this multiracial workforce remains critical to transforming workplaces, our economy, and democratic participation at a moment defined by continued economic precarity, corporate consolidation, and political polarization.

2026 Programs

UFREF will reach, agitate, and mobilize the multi-racial, low-wage workers who are consistently under-engaged by traditional political outreach. This group overlaps with infrequent voters, many facing structural barriers to participation. UFR’s model moves workers from workplace action into civic engagement, supporting fights for higher wages, access to healthcare and paid leave, safe and healthy working conditions, and democratic voice in communities. Workers who organize become trusted messengers among coworkers, family members, and neighbors. Their lived experience and testimony shape public narratives around policy and corporate accountability. This constituency has power in local, statewide, and federal elections.

UFR's civic engagement program integrates online/offline organizing to boost voter turnout from a low-wage, majority women and BIPOC voting bloc of 2 million people across urban, rural, and suburban geographies. We move our base through deep relationship building into action, and leverage persuasion messaging to turn out low-propensity voters.

Freedom ROC (c3)

Organization Description

To create systemic change that leads to a more equitable society by uplifting the voices of directly impacted Black people that allows us to build Black grassroots community political power.

2026 Programs

Freedom ROC aims to reject carceral and market definitions of safety and housing by building people, narrative, and political power in Akron. It centers on two campaigns: "Housing" and "Safety". The Housing Campaign seeks to win structural protections, shift housing from a commodity to a community responsibility, and includes a ballot initiative. The Safety Campaign develops a community-defined safety framework rooted in abolition and harm reduction, using programs like Curbside Counseling. Shared tactics integrate both efforts through cross-training and joint surveys. Success means tenants leading fights, community safety defined without police, passed ballot initiatives, and a visible narrative shift.

2025 Programs

Expanded outreach and trained new leaders from local organizations, strengthening community partnerships. Grew BLOC University participation, engaging more community members in civic education and leadership development. Developed emerging leaders with a strong understanding of multiple theories of change and an awareness of which theory they want to use moving forward. Cultivated two new leaders who transitioned into full-time organizing roles. Increased political analysis skills across the team, deepening strategic capacity. Identified three leaders prepared to take on key roles in the coming year.

2024 Programs

Freedom ROC is focused on building Black grassroots community power will train and empower Black leaders to register voters through hotspot canvassing, doors, events, BLOC parties and concerts in Akron, Canton, Youngstown, Warren counties.

Organization Description

NY Renews is a coalition led by member organizations from every corner of New York. Our efforts across popular education, community engagement, and creating a pathway to a just energy transition are rooted in the needs of frontline and environmental justice communities, BIPOC New Yorkers, low-income workers and energy economy workers, Indigenous Nations, and other marginalized communities.

2026 Programs

NY Renews is closely monitoring and shaping the state-level implementation of our climate law, ensuring that communities and members are well-prepared to participate in the transition to renewable energy. This includes providing education and engagement around the state's energy transition. Through equitable implementation of the CLCPA, we aim to hold polluters accountable and prevent further burdens placed on environmental justice and frontline communities. This year, our priorities are to: (1) lower New Yorkers’ energy bills; (2) reduce barriers for green healthy homes and buildings; and (3) create good, green union jobs.

As the main force behind the passage of NYS’s historic climate law in 2019, NY Renews is the only coalition working to ensure the mandates and goals of the law are adequately funded and fully realized. Our 2025 and 2026 plans include: 1) Watchdogging NY’s Climate Law at a time when the governor is failing to lead on climate; 2) Ensuring that the state's proposed cap-and-invest program remains the primary vessel to fund the climate law; and 3) Building the capacity of the communities we represent to strengthen our movement, deepen alignment, and lead on climate justice.

Organization Description

At civicIQ, we use proprietary data tools and direct digital conversations to uncover what communities really think — and how to win their support. Then we engage one-on-one, using trusted channels like SMS, social media, and email to build authentic relationships and mobilize the quiet majority who support clean energy — but usually stay on the sidelines. We also build support by educating and winning over those on the fence. CivicIQ’s 2026 programs target the "marginal" influence of Rural Electric Co-ops to identify pro-clean energy voters in Michigan, Missouri, and Indiana. We advance community benefit frameworks across 10–20 projects to secure tangible wins, modernize narratives, and streamline permitting through depolarization. Our digital strategy scales this impact by deploying a diversified social media brand reaching audiences from progressive youth to conservative ruralites. Finally, we leverage custom AI agents for "narrative regrounding," moving fence-sitters and entrenched opposition toward supporting local clean energy.

2025 Programs

In 2025, CivicIQ focused on scaling localized impact and refining data-driven outreach. We partnered with developers to manage community sentiment and benefits during both greenfielding and permitting phases. A key achievement was developing breakthrough methods for identifying landowner leads in high-priority greenfielding zones. We successfully activated our subscriber base across Facebook Messenger, email, and SMS, generating critical positive public comments that helped secure a landmark permitting victory for a major wind project in Wisconsin. These results validated our ability to move the needle on the ground while building a repeatable framework for national expansion.

Movement Labs Civics is an incubator using technology and experimentation to stop fascism. At Movement Labs Civics, we aim to build a country that works for everyone. We use data, technology, and experimental methods to lift individuals and communities that have too often been ignored, creating a more representative and fair democracy.

2026 Programs

Between 2022 and 2024, we ran dozens of creative experiments to increase civic participation. We tested tactics like volunteer incentives, social programs (“Beers and Ballots”), rideshare access for low-income voters, and gamified mailers. With over 50 pre-registered experiments and 40 scaled programs, they’ve built deep insights into what works in voter engagement. Our next phase will relaunch the Innovation Incubator to collaborate with civic groups, funders, and consultants to source, test, and scale new engagement innovations through 2026.

Formed in 1979, Western Organization of Resource Councils WORC) is a network of nine grassroots organizations in CO, ID, MT, ND, NE, OR, SD, and WY. WORC supports its member groups by providing training, coordinating issue work, and advancing the vision of a democratic, sustainable, and just society through community action. The WORC Education Project (WORCEP) is a 501(c)(3) corporation supporting the educational and charitable activities of the Western Organization of Resource Councils (WORC). WORCEP has a formal grant agreement with WORC to undertake public education, leadership, staff development, training, and public policy programs that further WORC’s mission.

Our network will focus on key priorities outlined in our new 2026 strategic plan. This includes socializing the strategic plan, developing projects that highlight people-led power, and supporting collective campaigns. We aim to raise support funding, implement grassroots strategies, renew relationships among member groups, and update agreements. Ohio Women’s Alliance is a Black-led, statewide Reproductive Justice organization founded to meet the urgent need for homegrown, diverse leadership across Ohio’s social justice and civic engagement landscape. Be Well: Sacred Circles of Healing & Wellness provided peer-to-peer mental health support to over 140 Black moms and birthing people. Together with New Voices for Reproductive Justice, OWA hosted the first-ever Midwest Strategic Summit that gathered over 75 BIPOC leaders from across the country. Born out of a vision to create a strategic network of BIPOC organizations across the Midwest, the Summit was a three-day event that included workshops and panels of organizational and philanthropic leaders. Our direct service program, the Member Assistance Program (MAP) served over 800 clients in 2025.

As a Black-led, Reproductive Justice organization in Ohio, Ohio Women’s Alliance is a trusted messenger within Black and brown communities across the state. Ensuring there are pro-choice justices on the Ohio Supreme Court in 24 will be crucial to protecting our constitutional rights and advancing true access in Ohio.

Save Our Schools Arizona Network (c3)

Organization Description

Save Our Schools Arizona Network works to build the organizing capacity and electoral power of Arizona communities that are most often ignored by and underrepresented in existing state and local power structures. We organize year-round around the issue of public education because the whole community is often invested in and responsible for the success of their local schools. This is particularly true in low-income and underrepresented rural, Black, Latino, and Indigenous communities, where chronically underfunded public schools remain the only education option.

2026 Programs

In 2026, we are strengthening community public schools by hosting town halls, listening sessions, and grassroots events to build civic engagement and rein in Arizona’s unaccountable ESA voucher program. We are training volunteers to defend immigrant families, oppose anti-LGBTQ+ and anti-equity policies, and combat school privatization. Through nonpartisan candidate forums and surveys, we will help voters evaluate candidates’ positions on public education. Finally, through our School Board Alliance and Fellowship pipeline, we are mentoring and supporting values-aligned school board members, providing training and resources to build lasting, community-centered leadership that serves students, educators, and families statewide.

2025 Programs

SOSAZN expanded our statewide organizing infrastructure, particularly in Southern and rural Arizona, adding 4,300+ volunteers and significantly increasing digital and email engagement. We mobilized parents, educators, and students through town halls, school board advocacy, and 57 Education Roadshow presentations to counter disinformation and advance pro-public education policies. We built Community Action Teams across Northern Arizona and in Yuma, Pinal, Cochise, and Santa Cruz counties, led voter registration and GOTV efforts, and strengthened youth leadership pipelines. We also helped defeat harmful legislation, blocked efforts to permanently expand vouchers, and launched a School Board Fellowship supporting 17 newly elected members statewide.

Save Our Schools AZ engages voters most disadvantaged by cuts to state education funding, including low-income and underrepresented rural, Black, Latino, and Indigenous communities. Our 18,000+ statewide volunteer network employs phone/text banking, roadshows, community tabling, digital ads, and relational organizing.

Nebraska Civic Engagement Table (c3)

Organization Description

We are a service-oriented organization focused on providing direct core support and capacity-building training and resources to our 501(c)(3) nonprofit members. We help nonprofits who provide direct services to, or advocate for, underrepresented communities to create, expand, and sustain civic engagement and nonpartisan voter outreach programs. We also help our nonprofit Member organizations build the organizational capacity needed to support grassroots advocacy and voter engagement initiatives, in addition to their other programs. We strengthen the nonprofit community through collaboration, leadership development, and professional training and resources.

2026 Programs

For 2026, the Nebraska Table's key focuses are on direct democracy and voting rights and voting access. We strive to ensure that the will of Nebraska voters is heard through accountability of lawmakers and clean implementation of voter-passed legislation. We support legislation that increases transparency and accessibility in the voting process, and we will be engaging in defensive work against harmful legislation that curtails voting rights and dilutes representation.

2025 Programs

2025 was a very successful year for the Table! We started the Legal Fund, where we paid out over $100,000 to over 25 grantees, and continue to build out the program with more grantees and the creation of a Legal Library in 2026. We started a Tuesday Policy call to educate and mobilize nonprofits on updates from the federal Executive and Judicial branches. We successfully engaged in our first municipal initiative, helping pass Lincoln for Fair Housing to eliminate income discrimination in the city of Lincoln. We and our members contacted over 18,000 voters through a variety of platforms.

2024 Programs

We work collaboratively with members to conduct year-round civic engagement efforts. In 2024 we are supporting a collaborative VR/GOTV initiative of five Member orgs knocking doors to mobilize voters in low turnout neighborhoods in North and South Omaha (CD2), increasing voter participation through increased voter registration and education.

Organization Description

New Era Colorado Foundation organizes young people to participate in the political process, develop as leaders, and find a political home.

2026 Programs

In 2026, we are turning out young voters across the state to pass a Graduated Income Tax on the ballot. Colorado currently has a flat income tax rate and a recurring state budget deficit of up to $1 billion, because our tax system does not generate sufficient revenue. Combined with federal budget cuts, we must rewrite the rules so that the ultra-wealthy and corporations pay what they owe. We'll use this ballot measure to turn out young voters who will also elect our next governor, attorney general, secretary of state, and state legislators.

2025 Programs

In 2025, New Era Colorado organized young BIPOC voters across the state to Get Out The Vote in their local elections, including Colorado Springs, Aurora, Boulder, Fort Collins, Greeley and Pueblo. We also spent the year talking with young people about tax equity, hearing the impact of economic injustice in their lives, and getting them primed to vote for a graduated income tax ballot measure in 2026. A survey we did in the summer showed that 96% of our base agreed that the wealthy should pay their fair share!

2024 Programs

NECF and NECAF will be targeting 18-34 year-olds, prioritizing young people of color, to turn out and to vote for a ballot measure that protects abortion rights.

Organization Description

350NH’s mission is to stop the climate crisis by building grassroots support for a just transition to renewable energy and an end to fossil fuel use and expansion. We envision a world where everyone has clean air, clean water, affordable energy, and a healthy environment to live in. We are a statewide climate justice organization engaged in community organizing, protest, and putting pressure on elected officials and polluting corporations.

2026 Programs

In 2026, 350 New Hampshire will continue our record of holding polluters and the elected officials they buy accountable to the people who are impacted the most by their bad decisions. We do this by building a strong base of volunteers and applying strategic pressure on our targets. We organize campaigns around utility justice, holding polluters accountable, and transitioning our electric grid to renewable energy. We prioritize building a strong community of volunteers to help us achieve our goals. We will educate our people and support them in actions that further our mission and goals.

In 2025, 350 New Hampshire's public pressure alongside partners' lawsuits closed the last coal-fired power plant in our region. We supported rallies with thousands of people to defend democracy, trained hundreds of volunteers in community organizing skills, knocked on hundreds of doors to get more people involved, and recorded stories of people impacted by high utility bills and fossil fuels.

2025 Programs

In This Together NEPA will increase our community presence and community building in 2025. Through Pride events, Juneteenth Celebrations, Disability Pride, and new voter registration and tabling opportunities throughout the region, we will build on ITTNEPA’s tremendous 2024 growth, forming new partnerships and community relationships. We will increase our election protection work, expanding into all 19 NEPA counties. This work will activate new volunteers and grow our capacity for monitoring at the county level.

At 1 Vote Counts we are committed to educating the most vulnerable, at risk, low propensity voters. We believe everyone is valuable and their contribution to the electoral process is critical. We focus on engaging 18-35 year olds who believe neither their vote nor their voice counts. Our reach includes public and charter school students, correctional facilities, transitional facilities, returning citizens, and underserved communities

2026 Programs

At 1 Vote Counts we educate incarcerated individuals, returning citizens, and others living in at-risk communities about voting rights and how civic engagement and the electoral process can positively impact neighborhoods and change the trajectory of a community, city and state. Our long term goal is to create a pipeline of BIPOC community leaders who become committed to the electoral process and use it to demand positive change. 1 Vote Counts conducts voter registration inside and outside of correctional facilities, holds educational seminars, and provides transportation to the polls by partnering with the Capital Area Transit System and local partnerships on election days. We have a clear eyed vision and strategic plan that centers voting advocacy on a neglected, overlooked demographic. Our goal is to break harmful, suppressive cycles of political neglect through education and building community partnerships that are based on mutual respect and sincerity.

1 Vote Counts is innovative in educating high-risk communities on issues that will impact their future, advocate environmental justice, foster social and judicial equity, and increase voter registration participation through door knocking, deep dive canvassing, texting, phone calls, social media and citizen advocacy. 1 Vote Counts provides services primarily to Pennsylvania’s Dauphin County, concentrating on the City of Harrisburg and its surrounding communities. We have an active Voter Registration Program in the County Prison.

Workers Center for Racial Justice (c3)

Organization Description

WCRJ is a grassroots organization fighting for Black liberation, and for a fair and inclusive society that benefits all people. We organize marginalized Black workers and families to address root causes of the high rates of unemployment, low-wage work and over-criminalization plaguing Black communities. To do this, we focus on direct action organizing, policy advocacy, leadership development and voter engagement at the municipal and state levels, with the objective of building a caring economy and society that allow Black people to reach their full human potential.

2026 Programs

Electoral priorities: 1) Deep relationship-building in Wisconsin and Illinois communities with large populations of color (base building). 2) Voter education/mobilization activities leading up to primaries and general elections.
Policy priorities: 1) Launch a Clean Slate campaign to bring automated records relief to Wisconsin. 2) Work on Clean Slate Act implementation in Illinois. 3) Pursue expanded childcare investments in both states. 4) Build public support for guaranteed income programs in both states.
Leadership development priorities: 1) Continue our Civic Engagement Cohort program, a 9-week training program for emerging civic leaders. 2) Continue offering regular trainings on the legislative process, advocacy tactics, neighborhood organizing, and volunteer-driven voter engagement.

2025 Programs

WCRJ’s programs include:
1) Deep canvassing in low-income, system-impacted Black neighborhoods, with the goal of engaging new supporters (base-building);
2) Leadership development including consciousness-raising programs, civic education and organizing 101;
3) Nonpartisan voter engagement, to drive informed electoral participation and increase Black voter turnout;
4) Grassroots policy advocacy, focused on issues that impact Black individuals and families; and
5) Direct actions, engagement with elected officials, community forums, and other activities designed to hold officials accountable and build support for key structural reforms. 2025 included work around the Wisconsin Supreme Court Race, as well as city and state-level policy campaigns.

2024 Programs

WCRJ and CRGE will reach low-to-moderate-propensity Black voters in six Wisconsin counties, knocking 70,000+ doors to have deep, issues-focused conversations that promote electoral participation. We’ll supplement our canvassing with texting, phone banking, digital ads, mailers, a robust relational organizing program, and an online hub of voter resources/information.

Our Free Tax Prep program will continue helping families build financial stability through trusted, year-round support. Our policy work will elevate community voices, defend essential resources, and push for income policies that help families thrive.

In 2025, Just Harvest will expand SNAP outreach and strengthen access to fresh, local food through a dollar for dollar match for SNAP shoppers at CitiParks farmers markets. We’ll continue to lead the Free Tax Prep coalition to help thousands of households file tax returns, maximize refunds, and keep more money in their pockets. We’ll deepen policy advocacy on SNAP, and tax justice, while piloting new tech tools that simplify applying for and keeping benefits. We’ll invest in community and organization partnerships, and push for long-term solutions that reduce hunger and advance economic justice across the greater Pittsburgh region.

Organization Description

Amazon Employees for Climate Justice (AECJ) is a member-led organization of Amazon tech workers that uses our leverage as a highly valued workforce to pressure Amazon’s leadership to change course on environmental and climate justice. We are fighting for a world with a stable climate and thriving ecosystems, where corporations can no longer externalize impacts to our planet and communities, and workers hold collective decision-making power as a key part of healthier democratic systems. Since our launch in 2018, AECJ has consistently held Amazon accountable and won major climate victories, with our work featured in hundreds of press stories.

2025 Programs

AECJ’s Collective Watchdog Program works to daylight Amazon’s greenwashing and highlight tech workers’ stories and critiques to counter Amazon’s PR, in order to keep public and employee focus on the company’s climate and workers’ rights record. We also build cross-class solidarity with logistics workers, and support tech workers in collaborating with and augmenting the work of community-based groups on the frontlines of data center expansion. Meanwhile, our Strategic Organizing Program is building a durable worker-led organization by blending grassroots campaign techniques with labor organizing strategies. Currently, our work is centered around the theme of a “Workers’ Vision for AI.”

Organization Description

Air Alliance Houston (AAH) believes everyone deserves to breathe clean air. We are now the longest-running advocacy nonprofit in Houston/Harris County dedicated solely to this goal. We do this through research, education, and advocacy campaigns that address all of the major sources of air pollution while centering the lived expertise of those who are most impacted by its health harms. We run the area’s largest community air monitoring program and, every year, notify 50,000 households about air permit decisions and teach and train over 5,000 community members to to be vocal and engaged advocates for their health.

1) Community Science: We generate new insights on air pollution to inform the public narrative, design effective campaigns, and guide hyper-local community action planning.

In 2026, we will stop gerrymandering and mid-decade redistricting via citizen veto. We will support reproductive justice organizations in stopping an abortion ban from the MO state legislature. We will defend the 115 year old initiative petition process, and we will organize with Missourians to plan a proactive statewide policy fight for 2028.

2025 Programs

In 2025, we fought legally to defend the $15 minimum wage and paid sick time that we passed last November at the ballot box. We also engaged volunteers to defend the initiative petition process, which is vital to Missouri democracy. In one of our regions, we worked to get campaign contribution limits passed for city council members. We are now working on a citizen veto referendum to stop illegal mid-cycle gerrymandering. From knocking doors to talk with voters to calling our legislators, we're working with Missourians to make it a better place for all people.

La Mesa Boricua will deepen its impact by building on the progress of civic, cultural, and economic empowerment across Florida. We will expand voter education and mobilization efforts, nurture a broader pipeline of Boricua leaders, and strengthen coalition work with allied communities. Cultural initiatives will continue amplifying Puerto Rican pride and visibility, while economic strategies will support entrepreneurs through capacity-building, sustainability practices, and collective action. Enhanced communications will keep our community informed and connected. In 2004, PLAN founded the Nevada Immigrant Coalition. Our coalition members lobby locally and federally to stop anti-immigrant legislation from passing. More recently, with an immigrant-friendly trifecta in the Nevada legislature, we were able to be on the offensive and pass a series of bills that support immigrant families and students.

Organization Description

We are a coalition of labor, faith, and community organizations joining together to protect workers' rights and immigrants' rights in Northeast Ohio, through collective action. Our primary focus is on protecting vulnerable workers who are being exploited by management. We do this because of the cohesiveness of CLEJWJ, we can expand easily to meet the increasing needs of the community. We have restarted Immigration Court Monitoring to provide the community and decision makers with essential information not available elsewhere. We are also engaging organized labor and worker justice groups in the fight for reproductive rights for women.

Topo Finance exists to turn financial management into a climate superpower. Historically, we have treated banking and investing as climate-neutral activities. However, our pioneering research discovered that for many entities and individuals, financial management is often one of their largest sources of emissions. To make it standard practice for companies to harness their financial management’s climate power, we must first solve three foundational barriers: better data, viable solutions, and powerful proof points. The Groundswell Initiative is a three-pronged strategy for eroding those barriers and catalyzing action: 1) Bank Evaluation System—Build a first-of-its-kind, impact-focused bank evaluation system that enables consumers to compare banks’ climate impact. 2) ROI2 Financial Products—Develop and aggregate a set of solutions that enable companies to maximize their return on investment and impact. 3) Decarbonizing Corporate Cash—Operate corporate working groups in the U.S. and Europe, in which companies work to decarbonize their cash holdings.

FTW's envisions a world in which public funds are invested equitably in communities fighting the climate crisis and to strengthening public institutions. Our mission is ensuring that public investments in Wisconsin are effective, efficient, and equitable. In 2025, FTW is continuing to promote and educate Wisconsinites on how they can access transformative IRA funds, including Direct Pay, HOMES and HEAR funding, and more. We are focusing on funds that have already moved or are less likely to be clawed back. We are also focusing on finding, creating, and promoting success stories to aid in the fight to defend this legislation, including investments to close funding gaps in low income communities. We will also run education campaigns at the door to help promote public benefits, increase civic engagement, and to register new voters.

FTW’s door program highlights community-level IRA investments and how individuals can access IRA funds and a voter registration and commit to vote ask. Organization Description

OCEJ is a fiscally sponsored project of OneOC and our mission is to advance environmental justice in the ancestral lands of the Acjachemen and Tongva Nations, now known as Orange County. Our goals include building a grassroots movement by training resident leaders, especially youth; expanding an engaged base of voters and activists; and forming coalitions with diverse community stakeholders. We aim to improve environmental quality in underserved communities by addressing issues like lead contamination in Santa Ana, soil and blood lead levels in residents, water quality in communities of color across OC, and the protection of local Indigenous sacred sites.

As a fiscal project of OneOC, OCEJ’s 2025 programs will build off of the momentum of our past year’s accomplishments to expand our work across the region and create new coalitions to advance environmental justice in Orange County. Our priorities for this year include:
1) Expanding access to soil, water, and air testing in residential communities across Orange County;
2) building support networks so communities can collectively respond to natural disasters and other emergencies; and finally, building leadership among Orange County low-income youth of color through our Defending the Sacred internship and summer organizing academy.

Organization Description

Rhizome's core purpose is to build collective power for young people to create the safer, happier, healthier world they want to live in. Launched by 90 co-founders, we train youth leaders to organize and increase civic engagement in their local communities.

Our flagship program is the Civic Service Fellowship, a leadership development program for emerging leaders in high school who learn to organize and increase civic engagement. Local Fellowship Chapters are led by paid Youth Organizers, who support teams of Fellows to lead local actions around the inclusive, nonviolent, and nonpartisan ideas they are most passionate about. We led over 100 local actions in spring 2025 and have registered over 24,000 students to vote in the last three years. Rhizome has teams of under 1,000 Fellows taking actions from over 200 high schools. Our goal is 300 high schools next year.

Rhizome was co-founded by 90 young people in 2021. Our purpose is to build collective power for young people to create the safer, happier, healthier world they want to live in. We're engaged in voter registration, GOTV work, and student-led narrative change around youth voice and representation in 2024.

Organization Description

Ohio Citizen Action Education Fund (OCAEF) informs, organizes and mobilizes people to advocate for public interests, across issues and campaigns. In person, by phone and online, we engage people in actions that protect public health, improve environmental quality, and benefit consumers. Our campaigns connect Ohioans and build a movement to protect democracy and create a sustainable and equitable future. OCAEF is the 501c3 research and education affiliate of Ohio Citizen Action, with which we sometimes run joint campaigns. Since 1975 we've earned a reputation as a trusted source of information and a vigilant government and industry watchdog.

2025 Programs

Advocacy work includes opposing two bills, one banning ranked choice voting in Ohio, and the other Ohio's version of the SAVE act which suppresses voter rights and adds to the burden of putting citizen led initiatives on the ballot. Rural solar organizing uses deep canvassing/persuasion to win hearts and minds for siting utility-scale solar projects. Voter courtship uses deep canvassing/persuasion to contact people canvassed during the 2024 election who pledged to vote, but didn't. We'll uncover the obstacles, rationales, and stories of unactivated voters and develop messaging to persuade people like them to vote.

2024 Programs

Ohio Citizen Action Education Fund will register voters by conducting hotspot canvassing and going door-to-door, primarily on community college campuses/areas in Cincinnati, Athens, Columbus and Cleveland.

VoteRiders’ mission is to ensure that no eligible voter is prevented from casting a ballot that counts due to voter ID laws, either directly from lack of acceptable ID or indirectly because of voter confusion. We’ll formalize training, onboarding, and support for community climate leaders, seed new groups in 3–5 Montana communities, and deepen statewide engagement. Our programming includes skill-building workshops, social and action events, and strategic campaign support. The goal is to grow a leaderful, scalable grassroots movement, equipping Montanans with tools and connections to advance community-driven climate solutions and ensure a livable future for all.

Organization Description

Subnational Funding Readiness & Performance (SFRP) is a flagship initiative that provides pro bono technical assistance to help capacity-constrained entities pursue and implement climate investments. Conceived, launched, and managed by Hua Nani Partners (HNP), SFRP connects subnational governments, tribes, and community-based organizations with the technical expertise and surge capacity needed to translate federal, state, local, and philanthropic funding into equitable, community-centered climate action. Backed by HNP’s deep policy, strategy, and technical expertise across sectors, SFRP is designed to close capacity gaps and ensure that climate investments reach communities that need them most.

2025 Programs

As many subnational entities face hiring freezes, layoffs, and staffing shortages, SFRP provides no-cost surge capacity to ease administrative burdens and optimize limited resources. We help awardees maintain compliance with federal grant requirements, especially Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) obligations, safeguarding critical climate investments. In parallel, we identify alternative state, local, philanthropic, and corporate funding opportunities to help under-resourced entities navigate an increasingly complex funding landscape. With the rollback of the Justice40 Initiative, SFRP remains committed to advancing equitable climate solutions by ensuring that local government-funded projects reflect community priorities, anchored by the launch of the Community Link Pilot Program.

350 Wisconsin is planning a nonpartisan get-out-the-vote (GOTV) effort to promote voter turnout and highlight the importance of the upcoming election. Despite the cap-and-trade program's prolonged existence in California and coverage of over 85% of the state’s emissions, there is no organization to educate and communicate with the public about how the program is working, leaving room for misinformed critiques that skew public opinion and undermine the state's ability to meet its climate targets. CapCA fills a much needed gap for an independent, centralized, and reliable resource for the public to access information about how cap-and-trade works, how cap-and-trade is implemented in California, and how cap-and -trade benefits state residents and businesses.

Ohio Families Unite Against Police Brutality (c3)

Organization Description

Our mission is to fight against police brutality and to support our extended families who, while not related by blood, are bonded to us through the needless bloodshed of our loved ones.

2025 Programs

In 2024, OFUAPB ran a large canvassing program in Dayton, Ohio focused on those who are directly impacted by police brutality. The canvassers knocked 52,614 doors and connected with 13,203 voters. We also called over 6,400 voters and texted an additional 4,800+ voters in Dayton to remind them to bring their ID to vote and help locate their polling place. In 2025 we are organizing year-round with direct voter engagement and state and local advocacy on police reform.

2024 Programs

Our layered approach includes canvassing, phonebanking, text banking, pollstanding on Election Day, digital and mail. We ensure investment into existing infrastructure in these communities, preserve the authenticity of the trusted messenger’s voice, and support longer term organizing and mobilization for the progressive movement in these spaces.

MOVE Texas plans to amplify its impact in 2025 through organizing, member-led issue education, and leadership development, empowering young Texans to engage in the democratic process. With the 89th Texas Legislative session underway, we are rolling out our "Get Sh*t Done" Agenda to guide our work around key issues like climate, reproductive rights, and democracy. Our evergreen civic engagement efforts will focus on voter registration and municipal elections.

2024 Programs

We will operate 25 campus chapters focused on civic engagement and issue advocacy, register 13,000 new voters, expand polling access (campus polling locations, countywide polling), launch voting rights, climate, and gender justice issue campaigns to engage young issues-first voters, and operate leadership development programs to grow capacity for youth-led organizing and power building. Up until the election, we will follow up with registered voters to ensure that they are informed and prepared to vote.

Reclaim Education Fund organizes people, provides education, and advocates for policy to win a more just and equitable city.

2025 Programs

Reclaim Education Fund will increase voter participation and build community power in neighborhoods across Philadelphia. Reclaim will do this through face-to-face, issue-based organizing with neighbors, driving city-wide campaigns around housing rights, training, and empowering community leaders. 100 Women on the Move! will bring together women from all parts of Milwaukee to engage in advocacy and activism to raise awareness about social justice issues and work towards change. We aim to build an informed and empowered electorate for today and generations to come. 100 WOMEN ON THE MOVE has quickly become a leader in the Milwaukee GOTV landscape. Wisconsin has an extremely important election coming up on April 1, so we once again are on the move making sure that all of Milwaukee's eligible voters have free and fair access to the ballot box. Our focus is on relational outreach, congregational outreach and organizing, and energizing the youth vote in Milwaukee's public high schools and universities.

2024 Programs

100 WOMEN are trained in voter engagement, registration, and ID work. Our group joins community and congregational gatherings. Our own established events promote voter registration turnout. Our calendar includes events such as Juneteenth, Early Voting Rallies, Bronzeville Days, and canvassing opportunities. We target low income, seniors, and the disabled.

The Local Progress Impact Lab (the Impact Lab) brings together local leaders, partners, and experts to build the knowledge, skills, and leadership needed to advance racial, economic, and gender justice at the local and state level. Our membership is made up of more than 1,500 local elected officials who together form the Local Progress network. The Impact Lab provides leadership development and governance training programming and policy, communications, and organizing support to our members and supports them in utilizing a model of collaborative governance that brings historically marginalized and oppressed communities to the center of policymaking.

2025 Programs

Our work is member-driven, and as such, our issue focus areas can shift to respond to dynamic environments that create windows of opportunity for elected officials to drive an equitable agenda forward. In 2025, we will focus on climate change and climate justice, housing, economic justice, public safety, public education, and immigrant rights. Programming includes policy primers, issue deep-dives, webinars to launch and distribute resources the Impact Lab creates in collaboration with our partners, such as reports, policy memos, messaging toolkits, and case studies. We will also hold regionally-tailored leadership and governance trainings for local and state elected officials.

The Housing Development Consortium of Seattle-King County (HDC) is the nonprofit membership association for the affordable housing operating, development, and service sector in King County. Organization Description

You Can Vote (YCV) was founded following Shelby County v. Holder, 133 S. Ct. 2612, the Supreme Court decision rolling back key protections of the Voting Rights Act. Our mission is to train and mobilize volunteers to educate, register, and empower all North Carolina citizens to successfully cast their ballot. Our programs combat discriminatory election laws by building a broader and more engaged electorate across the state of NC. YCV serves populations whose votes have been historically suppressed including people of color, low-income people, people who are currently and formerly incarcerated, people with disabilities, and young people.

YCV staff and volunteers reach voters in the communities where they live and work across the state of NC through high traffic canvassing, clipboarding, tabling at events, group and classroom presentations in high schools and on college campuses, relational organizing, GOTV calls and text messaging, and 1-1 conversations with voters.

Organization Description

Our Climate is an organisation founded in 2013 which aims to empower young people to advocate for the science-based, equitable and intersectional climate justice policies that build a thriving world. Youth Leaders will also conduct voter outreach through tabling during the week of October 28, 2024, to encourage voter turnout.
