Faith Alliance for Climate Solutions | FACS (c3)

Organization Description

Faith Alliance for Climate Solutions (FACS) organizes the power of Virginia’s faith communities and people of good will to advance local solutions to the urgent moral challenge of climate change. We began as a discussion group in a Unitarian church basement a decade ago. Today, we have some 3,000 supporters in five regional hubs, a small staff, influence with elected officials throughout Northern Virginia and the state capitol of Richmond, and a proud record of accomplishments. FACS is a trusted partner with local governments, state and local organizations, and over 225 faith communities in the region.

2026 Programs

This summer, we launched the Urban Heat Island Mapping Project and recruited 80+ citizen scientist volunteers. When George Mason University completes data analysis, we’ll advocate for local governments to address heat in low-income areas. Our second major program is to advocate for solar parking lot canopies. Earlier this year, our state-level advocacy was key to the passage of two laws: one requires our utility to assess and plan for Battery Electric Storage Systems; another is a national model for Data Center Transparency. We also host an annual Sustainability Champions Awards, a Climate Crisis Forum, and nurture congregational green teams.

United for Respect Education Fund (c3)

Organization Description

United for Respect Education Fund (UFREF) is a national grassroots organization building a movement rooted in the innovation, power, and leadership of working people in low wage jobs, particularly women and Black, Indigenous, and other people of color. Low-wage jobs employ over 31 million people across urban, suburban, and rural communities – 28% Black, 28% Latino, 56.7% women and 52.9% under the age of 34. Organizing and activating this multiracial workforce remains critical to transforming workplaces, our economy, and democratic participation at a moment defined by continued economic precarity, corporate consolidation, and political polarization.

2026 Programs

UFREF will reach, agitate, and mobilize the multi-racial, low-wage workers who are consistently under-engaged by traditional political outreach. This group overlaps with infrequent voters, many facing structural barriers to participation. UFR’s model moves workers from workplace action into civic engagement, supporting fights for higher wages, access to healthcare and paid leave, safe and healthy working conditions, and democratic voice in communities. Workers who organize become trusted messengers among coworkers, family members, and neighbors. Their lived experience and testimony shape public narratives around policy and corporate accountability. This constituency has power in local, statewide, and federal elections.

UFR's civic engagement program integrates online/offline organizing to boost voter turnout from a low-wage, majority women and BIPOC voting bloc of 2 million people across urban, rural, and suburban geographies. We move our base through deep relationship building into action, and leverage persuasion messaging to turn out low-propensity voters.

Organization Description

NY Renews is a coalition led by member organizations from every corner of New York. Our efforts across popular education, community engagement, and creating a pathway to a just energy transition are rooted in the needs of frontline and environmental justice communities, BIPOC New Yorkers, low-income workers and energy economy workers, Indigenous Nations, and other marginalized communities.

2026 Programs

NY Renews is closely monitoring and shaping the state-level implementation of our climate law, ensuring that communities and members are well-prepared to participate in the transition to renewable energy. This includes providing education and engagement around the state's energy transition. Through equitable implementation of the CLCPA, we aim to hold polluters accountable and prevent further burdens placed on environmental justice and frontline communities. This year, our priorities are to: (1) lower New Yorkers’ energy bills; (2) reduce barriers for green healthy homes and buildings; and (3) create good, green union jobs.

As the main force behind the passage of NYS’s historic climate law in 2019, NY Renews is the only coalition working to ensure the mandates and goals of the law are adequately funded and fully realized. Our 2025 and 2026 plans include: 1) Watchdogging NY’s Climate Law at a time when the governor is failing to lead on climate; 2) Ensuring that the state's proposed cap-and-invest program remains the primary vessel to fund the climate law; and 3) Building the capacity of the communities we represent to strengthen our movement, deepen alignment, and lead on climate justice.

Organization Description

At civicIQ, we use proprietary data tools and direct digital conversations to uncover what communities really think — and how to win their support. CivicIQ’s 2026 programs target the "marginal" influence of Rural Electric Co-ops to identify pro-clean energy voters in Michigan, Missouri, and Indiana. We advance community benefit frameworks across 10–20 projects to secure tangible wins, modernize narratives, and streamline permitting through depolarization. Our digital strategy scales this impact by deploying a diversified social media brand reaching audiences from progressive youth to conservative ruralites. Finally, we leverage custom AI agents for "narrative regrounding," moving fence-sitters and entrenched opposition toward supporting local clean energy.

2025 Programs

In 2025, CivicIQ focused on scaling localized impact and refining data-driven outreach. We partnered with developers to manage community sentiment and benefits during both greenfielding and permitting phases. A key achievement was developing breakthrough methods for identifying landowner leads in high-priority greenfielding zones. We successfully activated our subscriber base across Facebook Messenger, email, and SMS, generating critical positive public comments that helped secure a landmark permitting victory for a major wind project in Wisconsin. These results validated our ability to move the needle on the ground while building a repeatable framework for national expansion.

Movement Labs Civics is an incubator using technology and experimentation to stop fascism. At Movement Labs Civics, we aim to build a country that works for everyone. We use data, technology, and experimental methods to lift individuals and communities that have too often been ignored, creating a more representative and fair democracy.

2026 Programs

Between 2022 and 2024, we ran dozens of creative experiments to increase civic participation. We tested tactics like volunteer incentives, social programs (“Beers and Ballots”), rideshare access for low-income voters, and gamified mailers. With over 50 pre-registered experiments and 40 scaled programs, they’ve built deep insights into what works in voter engagement. Our next phase will relaunch the Innovation Incubator to collaborate with civic groups, funders, and consultants to source, test, and scale new engagement innovations through 2026.

Western Organization of Resource Councils Education Project (c3)

Organization Description

Formed in 1979, Western Organization of Resource Councils WORC) is a network of nine grassroots organizations in CO, ID, MT, ND, NE, OR, SD, and WY. WORC supports its member groups by providing training, coordinating issue work, and advancing the vision of a democratic, sustainable, and just society through community action. The WORC Education Project (WORCEP) is a 501(c)(3) corporation supporting the educational and charitable activities of the Western Organization of Resource Councils (WORC). WORCEP has a formal grant agreement with WORC to undertake public education, leadership, staff development, training, and public policy programs that further WORC’s mission.

2026 Programs

Our network will focus on key priorities outlined in our new 2026 strategic plan. This includes socializing the strategic plan, developing projects that highlight people-led power, and supporting collective campaigns. We aim to raise support funding, implement grassroots strategies, renew relationships among member groups, and update agreements. Additionally, we will promote collective action and training opportunities, realign regional campaigns with member priorities, engage with coalitions, build structures to support shared interests and power, and provide support and training for member groups to develop effective C3 civic engagement strategies to deploy over the next year.

In 2026, Core Community Blueprint will advance six core programs: Voter Mobilization to register, educate, and turn out voters; Community Recovery Network to connect residents to support, stability, and recovery resources; GAME Plan to expand youth opportunity through structured mentorship and development; Leadership Development to train community leaders and organizers; the Family Business Economic Network to strengthen family-centered entrepreneurship and local wealth building; and Fight Against Blight to address neighborhood deterioration through cleanup, property improvement, and community-driven revitalization. Together, these programs are designed to build stronger families, safer neighborhoods, and greater civic and economic power.

In 2025, Core Community Blueprint will focus on advancing the Pennsylvania Voting Rights Act through legislative advocacy, town halls, and coalition-building. We will expand our Reflective Democracy work with voter education, power mapping, and civic engagement training. Our Family Support initiatives will continue to uplift Special Needs Families and Family Caregivers through peer networks, policy advocacy, and public forums. Additionally, we will lead Get Out the Vote (GOTV) efforts across Dauphin, Lancaster, and York counties, targeting historically underrepresented voters through canvassing, digital outreach, and strategic partnerships. Our work centers equity, representation, and lasting community impact.

Core programming includes large scale phonebanks, targeted mail outreach, and educational briefings that help residents understand public policies affecting elections, infrastructure, energy investments, and community resources. In 2026, CFCG will also expand rural climate and energy education focused on federal clean energy investments such as New ERA and PACE, helping cooperative member owners and local leaders understand implementation, infrastructure impacts, and opportunities for community engagement in energy transition decisions.

Organization Description

Ohio Women’s Alliance is a Black-led, statewide Reproductive Justice organization founded to meet the urgent need for homegrown, diverse leadership across Ohio’s social justice and civic engagement landscape. OWA builds power through civic engagement, advocacy, coalition building, community education, leadership development, and holistic direct-support programs serving abortion seekers and the mental health of Black leaders and birthing people. Be Well: Sacred Circles of Healing & Wellness provided peer-to-peer mental health support to over 140 Black moms and birthing people. Together with New Voices for Reproductive Justice, OWA hosted the first-ever Midwest Strategic Summit that gathered over 75 BIPOC leaders from across the country. Born out of a vision to create a strategic network of BIPOC organizations across the Midwest, the Summit was a three-day event that included workshops and panels of organizational and philanthropic leaders. Our direct service program, the Member Assistance Program (MAP) served over 800 clients in 2025.

As a Black-led, Reproductive Justice organization in Ohio, Ohio Women’s Alliance is a trusted messenger within Black and brown communities across the state. Ensuring there are pro-choice justices on the Ohio Supreme Court in 24 will be crucial to protecting our constitutional rights and advancing true access in Ohio.

Organization Description

New Era Colorado Foundation organizes young people to participate in the political process, develop as leaders, and find a political home.

2026 Programs

In 2026, we are turning out young voters across the state to pass a Graduated Income Tax on the ballot. Colorado currently has a flat income tax rate and a recurring state budget deficit of up to $1 billion, because our tax system does not generate sufficient revenue. Combined with federal budget cuts, we must rewrite the rules so that the ultra-wealthy and corporations pay what they owe. We'll use this ballot measure to turn out young voters who will also elect our next governor, attorney general, secretary of state, and state legislators.

2025 Programs

In 2025, New Era Colorado organized young BIPOC voters across the state to Get Out The Vote in their local elections, including Colorado Springs, Aurora, Boulder, Fort Collins, Greeley and Pueblo. We also spent the year talking with young people about tax equity, hearing the impact of economic injustice in their lives, and getting them primed to vote for a graduated income tax ballot measure in 2026. A survey we did in the summer showed that 96% of our base agreed that the wealthy should pay their fair share!

2024 Programs

NECF and NECAF will be targeting 18-34 year-olds, prioritizing young people of color, to turn out and to vote for a ballot measure that protects abortion rights.

350NH’s mission is to stop the climate crisis by building grassroots support for a just transition to renewable energy and an end to fossil fuel use and expansion. 2026 Programs

In 2026, 350 New Hampshire will continue our record of holding polluters and the elected officials they buy accountable to the people who are impacted the most by their bad decisions. We do this by building a strong base of volunteers and applying strategic pressure on our targets. We organize campaigns around utility justice, holding polluters accountable, and transitioning our electric grid to renewable energy. We prioritize building a strong community of volunteers to help us achieve our goals. We will educate our people and support them in actions that further our mission and goals.

2025 Programs

In 2025, 350 New Hampshire's public pressure alongside partners' lawsuits closed the last coal-fired power plant in our region. We supported rallies with thousands of people to defend democracy, trained hundreds of volunteers in community organizing skills, knocked on hundreds of doors to get more people involved, and recorded stories of people impacted by high utility bills and fossil fuels.

Youth, environmental, and rural voters are key voting blocks for the 2024 election. As a trusted issue organization, we are uniquely positioned to scale our program, communicate and activate these voters.

Workers Center for Racial Justice (c3)

Organization Description

WCRJ is a grassroots organization fighting for Black liberation, and for a fair and inclusive society that benefits all people. We organize marginalized Black workers and families to address root causes of the high rates of unemployment, low-wage work and over-criminalization plaguing Black communities. To do this, we focus on direct action organizing, policy advocacy, leadership development and voter engagement at the municipal and state levels, with the objective of building a caring economy and society that allow Black people to reach their full human potential.

2026 Programs

Electoral priorities: 1) Deep relationship-building in Wisconsin and Illinois communities with large populations of color (base building). 2) Voter education/mobilization activities leading up to primaries and general elections.
Policy priorities: 1) Launch a Clean Slate campaign to bring automated records relief to Wisconsin. 2) Work on Clean Slate Act implementation in Illinois. 3) Pursue expanded childcare investments in both states. 4) Build public support for guaranteed income programs in both states.
Leadership development priorities: 1) Continue our Civic Engagement Cohort program, a 9-week training program for emerging civic leaders. 2) Continue offering regular trainings on the legislative process, advocacy tactics, neighborhood organizing, and volunteer-driven voter engagement.

2025 Programs

WCRJ’s programs include:
1) Deep canvassing in low-income, system-impacted Black neighborhoods, with the goal of engaging new supporters (base-building);
2) Leadership development including consciousness-raising programs, civic education and organizing 101;
3) Nonpartisan voter engagement, to drive informed electoral participation and increase Black voter turnout;
4) Grassroots policy advocacy, focused on issues that impact Black individuals and families; and
5) Direct actions, engagement with elected officials, community forums, and other activities designed to hold officials accountable and build support for key structural reforms. 2025 included work around the Wisconsin Supreme Court Race, as well as city and state-level policy campaigns.

2024 Programs

WCRJ and CRGE will reach low-to-moderate-propensity Black voters in six Wisconsin counties, knocking 70,000+ doors to have deep, issues-focused conversations that promote electoral participation. We’ll supplement our canvassing with texting, phone banking, digital ads, mailers, a robust relational organizing program, and an online hub of voter resources/information.

Organization Description

Amazon Employees for Climate Justice (AECJ) is a member-led organization of Amazon tech workers that uses our leverage as a highly valued workforce to pressure Amazon’s leadership to change course on environmental and climate justice. We are fighting for a world with a stable climate and thriving ecosystems, where corporations can no longer externalize impacts to our planet and communities, and workers hold collective decision-making power as a key part of healthier democratic systems. Since our launch in 2018, AECJ has consistently held Amazon accountable and won major climate victories, with our work featured in hundreds of press stories.

2025 Programs

AECJ’s Collective Watchdog Program works to daylight Amazon’s greenwashing and highlight tech workers’ stories and critiques to counter Amazon’s PR, in order to keep public and employee focus on the company’s climate and workers’ rights record. We also build cross-class solidarity with logistics workers, and support tech workers in collaborating with and augmenting the work of community-based groups on the frontlines of data center expansion. Meanwhile, our Strategic Organizing Program is building a durable worker-led organization by blending grassroots campaign techniques with labor organizing strategies. Currently, our work is centered around the theme of a “Workers’ Vision for AI.”

Air Alliance Houston (c3)

Air Alliance Houston (AAH) believes everyone deserves to breathe clean air. We are now the longest-running advocacy nonprofit in Houston/Harris County dedicated solely to this goal. We do this through research, education, and advocacy campaigns that address all of the major sources of air pollution while centering the lived expertise of those who are most impacted by its health harms. We run the area’s largest community air monitoring program and, every year, notify 50,000 households about air permit decisions and teach and train over 5,000 community members to to be vocal and engaged advocates for their health.

FTW's envisions a world in which public funds are invested equitably in communities fighting the climate crisis and to strengthening public institutions. In 2025, FTW is continuing to promote and educate Wisconsinites on how they can access transformative IRA funds, including Direct Pay, HOMES and HEAR funding, and more. We are focusing on funds that have already moved or are less likely to be clawed back. We are also focusing on finding, creating, and promoting success stories to aid in the fight to defend this legislation, including investments to close funding gaps in low income communities. We will also run education campaigns at the door to help promote public benefits, increase civic engagement, and to register new voters.

FTW’s door program highlights community-level IRA investments and how individuals can access IRA funds and a voter registration and commit to vote ask. We target urban BIPOC and low-income communities including Milwaukee, Madison, Green Bay, and La Crosse and layer paid digital ads over our knocks.

Organization Description

Rhizome's core purpose is to build collective power for young people to create the safer, happier, healthier world they want to live in. Launched by 90 co-founders, we train youth leaders to organize and increase civic engagement in their local communities.

Our flagship program is the Civic Service Fellowship, a leadership development program for emerging leaders in high school who learn to organize and increase civic engagement. Local Fellowship Chapters are led by paid Youth Organizers, who support teams of Fellows to lead local actions around the inclusive, nonviolent, and nonpartisan ideas they are most passionate about. We led over 100 local actions in spring 2025 and have registered over 24,000 students to vote in the last three years. Rhizome has teams of under 1,000 Fellows taking actions from over 200 high schools. Our goal is 300 high schools next year.

In 2025, we continue our work to deliver significant GHG reductions while depoliticizing climate action within a conservative state. Programing in our four priority areas:
Climate Leadership - reactivate and reengage our 200 member climate and clean air compact leaders.
Building Decarbonization – influence Governor’s housing plan, work with municipalities and housing agencies, support state implementation of $100M home energy rebate program.
Electrified Transportation – work with fleet operators to provide tools and resources for electrification.
Grid Decarbonization – drive clean energy development through utility regulatory intervention and Governor’s Operation Gigawatt, support Solar4All, and advocacy and education on federal incentives.

MOVE Texas is a grassroots, nonpartisan, nonprofit organization dedicated to building the power of young people in underrepresented communities through civic engagement, leadership development, and issue education. Young Texans possess the appetite and the energy to make their voices heard in the decisions and processes that impact their lives and communities, positioning them to make waves in Texas and beyond. We invest in and engage young people to become agents of change who harness their power to engage their peers in the democratic process. Through intentional coaching and support, we empower young people to build a responsive, accountable, and equitable democracy.

2025 Programs

MOVE Texas plans to amplify its impact in 2025 through organizing, member-led issue education, and leadership development, empowering young Texans to engage in the democratic process. With the 89th Texas Legislative session underway, we are rolling out our "Get Sh*t Done" Agenda to guide our work around key issues like climate, reproductive rights, and democracy. Our evergreen civic engagement efforts will focus on voter registration and municipal elections.

2024 Programs

We will operate 25 campus chapters focused on civic engagement and issue advocacy, register 13,000 new voters, expand polling access (campus polling locations, countywide polling), launch voting rights, climate, and gender justice issue campaigns to engage young issues-first voters, and operate leadership development programs to grow capacity for youth-led organizing and power building. Up until the election, we will follow up with registered voters to ensure that they are informed and prepared to vote.

Down Home is all about building power for working-class communities in North Carolina. We focus on deep organizing, real conversations, and grassroots action to create lasting change. By centering rural and small-town voices, we fight for economic justice, racial equity, and policies that actually support everyday people. In 2025, we're focused on deepening our base, expanding our reach, and strengthening our foundation. Through the Year of the Member Project, we're investing in our people - developing leaders, building ownership, and making sure members drive our work. The Beyond the Choir Project will bring in new voices, connecting with those who share our values but haven't engaged yet. And to sustain it all, we're strengthening our internal systems - ensuring financial stability, better development tracking, and real accountability. With clear goals, strong support, and the right systems in place, we're building lasting power for working-class communities across North Carolina.

Down Home will engage the multiracial working class over an18-county area larger than the state of New Jersey via an integrated voter contact program including more than 500,000 door attempts. Our program is best-in-class and covers the lowest density, highest opportunity rural turf home to 20% of the state’s population.

Organization Description

Reclaim Education Fund organizes people, provides education, and advocates for policy to win a more just and equitable city.

2025 Programs

Reclaim Education Fund will increase voter participation and build community power in neighborhoods across Philadelphia. Reclaim will do this through face-to-face, issue-based organizing with neighbors, driving city-wide campaigns around housing rights, training, and empowering community leaders. We will empower community members to dive beneath the surface of "get out the vote" and launch into civic conversations about the actual reasons why our community is disengaged from voting and how inaction links to systemic issues.

Reclaim Education Fund will support neighborhood leaders in providing civic engagement, facilitating story circles to help people share their experiences related to the election and learn about neighbors’ diverse experiences, and provide deep canvass support for 5 neighborhood teams to related to the issues at stake in the general election.

Organization Description

The Housing Development Consortium of Seattle-King County (HDC) is the nonprofit membership association for the affordable housing operating, development, and service sector in King County. As a membership association, HDC is uniquely positioned to bring together nonprofit, government, business, and community around a shared vision, and our member-driven programs focus on the intersection of housing, environmental sustainability, equity, health, and education. The urgency of the affordable housing crisis is entangled with a growing climate crisis and the disturbing reality of persisting institutional and structural racism. The work of HDC and our members is squarely in the nexus of these three crises. Approaches that treat each issue in isolation are no longer enough, as these facets are fundamentally interdependent.

2025 Programs

Aligned with our core value of climate and racial justice, HDC steps up to advocate within affordable housing buildings for ballot initiatives which further these aims. In 2024, HDC rallied the sector to oppose the harmful rollbacks of state climate policies (No on I-2117 & I-2066). HDC will continue to be outspoken, public-facing advocates for climate justice policies through town halls, press conferences, voter education, and flyering affordable housing residents.

PNN spent 2024 performing community work – resource fairs, food giveaways, summer BBQs, street clean-ups, and educational events – to reach black and brown citizens in low-engagement neighborhoods. We intend to expand upon our work in 2025 to continue to build the trust necessary to move these folks to take part in their government. We intend to mix our in-person work with a series of creative social media.

Organization Description

You Can Vote (YCV) was founded following Shelby County v. Holder, 133 S. Ct. 2612, the Supreme Court decision rolling back key protections of the Voting Rights Act. Our mission is to train and mobilize volunteers to educate, register, and empower all North Carolina citizens to successfully cast their ballot. Our programs combat discriminatory election laws by building a broader and more engaged electorate across the state of NC. YCV serves populations whose votes have been historically suppressed including people of color, low-income people, people who are currently and formerly incarcerated, people with disabilities, and young people.

2024 Programs

YCV staff and volunteers reach voters in the communities where they live and work across the state of NC through high traffic canvassing, clipboarding, tabling at events, group and classroom presentations in high schools and on college campuses, relational organizing, GOTV calls and text messaging, and 1-1 conversations with voters.
