2024 Programs
Young voters will be the deciding factor in the 2024 election yet they face many hurdles to voting. Solution: Donuts+Democracy leverages peer-to-peer relational organizing by partnering with on-campus, pro-democracy GOTV students orgs with the one thing college students love - donuts. It is the most effective GOTV we’ve ever done.
Mission
Our goal is register, educate and engage young voters who are pro-democracy at college campuses.
Budget Size: Micro: Previous year budget < $20,000
States Engaged: AZ, CA, CT, GA, IL, MI, MT, NC, NE, NJ, NV, NY, OH, PA, VA, WA, WI, TX, FL
Geographic Density Focus: Rural / Suburban / Small city (<100k), Urban – Large city or suburb of large city (>100k)
Core Constituencies: BIPOC (Black; Indigenous and/or People Of Color), Women, Youth and Students (aged 17-35)
Leadership Diversity: Volunteer-led, Women-led
Staff and Volunteer Balance: All volunteer - there are no paid staff involved in the organizations
