Evergreen Action (c4)
Organization Description
Evergreen advances a bold, actionable vision: tackling the climate crisis while building an inclusive clean energy economy. We defend progress—especially in the states—and connect policy and narrative strategies across sectors like energy, housing, and transportation. Our work delivers solutions that reduce emissions, lower costs, and expand opportunity. In partnership with allies, we equip leaders with the tools to act and help the climate movement stay focused and resilient. Amid federal challenges, we ground our work in what’s possible now—showcasing practical, people-centered policies that move us toward a more affordable, equitable, and sustainable future.
2025 Programs
Evergreen’s 2025 goals are: help states lead and defend against climate rollbacks, protect progress at the federal level, and foster a strong internal culture. Our primary opportunity lies in advancing state-level campaigns across energy, housing, and transportation that reduce emissions and improve affordability. We ground our work in clear policy roadmaps and compelling narratives that support environmental justice, economic opportunity, and political durability. By anchoring our strategy in actionable sectoral campaigns and smart digital storytelling, we help build the coalitions and momentum needed to secure lasting climate progress—even in the face of economic and political headwinds.
2024 Programs
Our newly updated Evergreen Action Plan 2.0 outlines the policy roadmap needed for the next chapter of climate leadership - and as an inspiration for what is possible under a proactive climate administration. Our election engagement is centered on socializing the EAP 2.0 in a way that builds support for climate candidates and inspires action in November.
Mission
Evergreen is leading the fight to put bold climate action at the top of America's agenda. We are building the ambitious, actionable policy roadmap for an all-out mobilization to defeat climate change and to create millions of jobs in a thriving, just, and inclusive clean energy future.
