Georgia Conservation Voters (c4)
Organization Description
We believe all Georgians have the right to breathe clean air, drink clean water, eat healthy foods, and live in a world free from environmental harm. We envision a future where Georgia’s elected leaders are informed and empowered to take action to advance climate and environmental justice. GCV’s mission is to advocate for public policies that advance a more just and sustainable future, mobilize voters who make climate and environmental justice a priority, and hold elected officials accountable for their actions and votes.
2026 Programs
We plan to be very active during the 2026 legislative to continue to advocate for legislation that will protect Georgians from the potentially harmful impacts of Data Centers. We will also be endorsing and supporting candidates in the 2026 November election who are Environmental Champions and vow to uphold and promote policies that will support our values of environmental justice - we are especially looking forward to supporting another candidate for Public Service Commissioner in District 5.
2025 Programs
We've been working since 2021 to elect better Commissioners to Georgia's PSC and we finally accomplished this goal in 2025! We lead the charge to elect Peter Hubbard and Alicia Johnson and are so excited to see what they'll accomplish in their terms. In total, more than half of the candidates we endorsed in the municipal elections won their races. We also kept up the pressure in the legislature to prevent bad bills being passed and will be continuing this work into 2026.
2024 Programs
Elect pro-environmental champions who believe in 100% Clean Renewable Energy and activate voters to participate in grassroots tactics to elect leaders who want a cleaner future for all. We have made 40 endorsements, and will be activating volunteers to support endorsed candidates, knocking doors, making calls, hosting events, and collecting voter pledges. We will turn out climate voters in both Cobb and Gwinnett counties to secure victories in referendums that would result in $28 billion of investments in enhanced mobility and transit expansions.
