Guides.vote (c3)
Organization Description
guides.vote is a nonpartisan civic education organization dedicated to informing and engaging voters for a robust democracy. We focus on expanding access to clear, trustworthy information that helps voters participate confidently in U.S. elections. We produce and distribute accessible nonpartisan voter guides for key elections, including presidential guides when there is a general election. Our voter guides explain candidates’ positions in plain language, with credible resources for further reading. We also create bite-sized “digestible” civic education resources in the form of a bi-weekly digital postcard series called Civic Bites.
2026 Programs
We are scaling significantly this year to meet the demands of a critical midterm cycle. Key Initiatives: 1) Produce guides for 70 major races across the country; 2) Expand and translate Civic Bites into Spanish; 3) Build a public digital repository of all Civic Bites; 4) Strengthen and expand our national partner network; 5) Grow short-form digital outreach to younger voters; 6) Increase campus and community distribution channels.
2025 Programs
Thanks to donor support, 2025 was one of our strongest years: 1.5 million+ guides distributed (print + digital); 700+ partners, including campuses, nonprofits, and media; Record turnout in all the elections we took on; and the Launch of Civic Bites, our bi-weekly civic literacy series. Our work does not pause in “off years.” High-quality civic information must be available year-round, and 2025 proved just how essential this work has become.
2024 Programs
We get reluctant voters to the polls by creating and distributing nonpartisan voter guides that contrast candidate stands for key races nationwide. Community and campus partners will distribute over 5 million printed guides, plus extensive online distribution. Our guides will be critical for this election of “I hate them both.”
