La Mesa Boricua de Fl (c3)
Organization Description
La Mesa Boricua de Florida is a coalition that unites Puerto Rican organizations, leaders, and allies to strengthen civic, cultural, and economic power across the state. It serves as a collective table for collaboration, ensuring Boricua voices are visible, valued, and influential in shaping policy, culture, and community life. Rooted in solidarity, sustainability, and justice, La Mesa promotes voter engagement, cultural pride, economic development, and leadership growth. By centering Puerto Rican identity while building bridges with other marginalized groups, it seeks to transform Florida into a place where Boricuas thrive with dignity, sovereignty, and collective agency.
2026 Programs
La Mesa Boricua will deepen its impact by building on the progress of civic, cultural, and economic empowerment across Florida. We will expand voter education and mobilization efforts, nurture a broader pipeline of Boricua leaders, and strengthen coalition work with allied communities. Cultural initiatives will continue amplifying Puerto Rican pride and visibility, while economic strategies will support entrepreneurs through capacity-building, sustainability practices, and collective action. Enhanced communications will keep our community informed and connected. With solidarity, environmentalism, and agency for change as our guiding principles, we aim to solidify lasting power, unity, and self-determination.
2025 Programs
La Mesa Boricua will strengthen unity and power among Puerto Ricans in Florida through civic, cultural, and economic action. We will increase voter education and participation through “Deja Tú Marca,” promoting cultural pride through events and campaigns, and enhancing economic visibility via business spotlights and eco-conscious initiatives. Leadership development will expand our membership base and cultivate emerging leaders, while communications strategies amplify our impact across platforms. Guided by solidarity, environmentalism, and agency for change, our work fosters collaboration, sustainability, and empowerment. By year’s end, we aim for stronger civic engagement, cultural visibility, economic growth, and organizational sustainability.
