Connecting Donors and Doers

What is the CaPA Connector?

The CaPA Connector is an interactive platform that profiles hundreds of community-rooted organizations that are engaging voters and advocating for climate, social, racial and/or economic justice in the U.S. For donors who seek to deploy funds strategically in targeted geographies, with high-impact and low-profile community organizations, the CaPA Connector database offers a powerful tool of discovery. This database is constantly updated and can be filtered by geography, constituencies, engagement actions, and other criteria.

How can I contribute?
CaPA offers resource pooling services completely free of fiscal fees and overhead charges. With a single contribution to CaPA you can support multiple organizations doing high impact organizing aligned with your geographic, tactical, or their preferences. You can also reach out and give directly to the organizations you like via their website or listed contact.
Disclaimers
  • While this database contains more than 600 entities, it is not a complete list of the thousands of organizations doing impactful work. Organizations are invited to fill out this Card Creation Form to be added to the CaPA Connector.
  • CaPA verifies that each organization listed on the CaPA Connector aligns with our values of inclusive democracy and climate, social, racial and economic justice. We use IRS and FEC records to confirm the identities of new organizations creating profiles, and CaPA team members review the organizations’ programmatic plans. Most of the CaPA Connector data is self-reported by the organizations and CaPA has not completed a 3rd party assessment of accuracy.
  • CaPA evaluates where programs are fielded within a state by using congressional district boundaries. An organization delivering engagement actions within the boundaries of a congressional district does not necessarily mean that group is engaging in a congressional district race.

The People's Lobby (c4)

Organization Description
The People’s Lobby is a membership-driven organization devoted to organizing widespread support for legislation and candidates that put the needs of people and the planet before the interests of corporations and the very rich.
2026 Programs
We plan to do significant campaign work for our slate of endorsed candidates in the months leading up to the primary election in March of 2026. The bulk of that work will go toward winning votes for State Senator Robert Peters in his race for US Congress. Robert formerly served as The People’s Lobby’s political director, and has worked closely with us for years to help us advance our legislative goals. After the primary, we will pivot toward a general election program, targeting State Representative and State Senate races in the western suburbs of Chicago.
2025 Programs
In 2025, we recruited a team of experienced members to select, interview, and evaluate candidates running for office in 2026 for endorsement. We began that process toward the end of the year, and will continue to add new candidates to our slate in the new year.
