Organization Description

Showing Up For Racial Justice Education Fund (SURJ Ed) unites millions of white people, particularly those who are rural, poor, and working-class, to organize for racial and economic justice. Through grassroots organizing, advocacy, and education, SURJ works to build collective power and create a vibrant environment where the multi-racial working class majority can contest for power and win.

2026 Programs

In 2026, will continue to do the critical, long-haul work of building a conscious multiracial working class base in majority-white communities, focusing on the lower layers of the working class in the South, many of whom are not ideologically aligned with us. We are working to both win concrete change for their people and provide an example to the rest of our movement of the kind of organizing that is needed and possible to rebuild the multiracial working class movement capable of delivering transformative change.

2024 Programs

SURJ organizes white voters to block white supremacy; build progressive power; and grow our base to millions taking anti-racist action. We target rural, poor, and working-class people using a shared interest approach through canvassing, phone banking, text, and educational campaigns that pave a pathway to engagement for white voters.

Faith in Place (c3)

Organization Description

Faith in Place cultivates a powerful multifaith movement for environmental and climate justice across Illinois, Indiana, and Wisconsin through connection, education, and advocacy. We organize people of diverse faiths to advance clean energy, healthier homes, resilient communities, and civic engagement. Our work includes community-based environmental health campaigns, energy efficiency and renewable energy programs for Houses of Worship, advocacy for equitable climate policy, leadership development, and grassroots organizing. We believe the environmental crisis is not only technical, but also moral and spiritual, and that faith communities have a critical role to play in building a more just and livable future.

2026 Programs

In 2026, Faith in Place is expanding multifaith environmental justice organizing across Illinois, Indiana, and Wisconsin. Core programs include indoor air quality and public health organizing through AirAware; clean energy and energy efficiency support for Houses of Worship; climate resilience and urban forestry initiatives; civic engagement and advocacy campaigns; and leadership development for clergy, congregations, and community partners. We are also deepening volunteer engagement, storytelling, and issue advocacy around clean energy, environmental health, and climate accountability. Across all programs, we connect education and direct community support to long-term systems change and public policy advocacy.

2025 Programs

In 2025, Faith in Place expanded its multifaith environmental justice work across Illinois, Indiana, and Wisconsin. We supported more than 300 active Green Teams, hosted hundreds of workshops and community events, invested over $900,000 in community partnerships, and distributed nearly $886,000 to local organizations for tree planting and climate resilience work. Our AirAware indoor air quality campaign partnered with faith communities and seven Houses of Worship to conduct testing in 101 homes near gas-burning appliances. We also advanced advocacy campaigns focused on clean energy, environmental health, climate accountability, and civic engagement while continuing leadership development for clergy and grassroots organizers.

Organization Description

NY Renews is a coalition led by member organizations from every corner of New York. Our efforts across popular education, community engagement, and creating a pathway to a just energy transition are rooted in the needs of frontline and environmental justice communities, BIPOC New Yorkers, low-income workers and energy economy workers, Indigenous Nations, and other marginalized communities.

2026 Programs

NY Renews is closely monitoring and shaping the state-level implementation of our climate law, ensuring that communities and members are well-prepared to participate in the transition to renewable energy. This includes providing education and engagement around the state's energy transition. Through equitable implementation of the CLCPA, we aim to hold polluters accountable and prevent further burdens placed on environmental justice and frontline communities. This year, our priorities are to: (1) lower New Yorkers’ energy bills; (2) reduce barriers for green healthy homes and buildings; and (3) create good, green union jobs.

2025 Programs

As the main force behind the passage of NYS’s historic climate law in 2019, NY Renews is the only coalition working to ensure the mandates and goals of the law are adequately funded and fully realized. Our 2025 and 2026 plans include: 1) Watchdogging NY’s Climate Law at a time when the governor is failing to lead on climate; 2) Ensuring that the state's proposed cap-and-invest program remains the primary vessel to fund the climate law; and 3) Building the capacity of the communities we represent to strengthen our movement, deepen alignment, and lead on climate justice.

CivicIQ (c3)

Organization Description

At civicIQ, we use proprietary data tools and direct digital conversations to uncover what communities really think — and how to win their support. Then we engage one-on-one, using trusted channels like SMS, social media, and email to build authentic relationships and mobilize the quiet majority who support clean energy — but usually stay on the sidelines. We also build support by educating and winning over those on the fence. We champion the power of storytelling and local calls to action as a nonprofit media platform, envisioning an America powered by renewable energy and the transformational heroes who are building that future.

2026 Programs

CivicIQ’s 2026 programs target the "marginal" influence of Rural Electric Co-ops to identify pro-clean energy voters in Michigan, Missouri, and Indiana. We advance community benefit frameworks across 10–20 projects to secure tangible wins, modernize narratives, and streamline permitting through depolarization. Our digital strategy scales this impact by deploying a diversified social media brand reaching audiences from progressive youth to conservative ruralites. Finally, we leverage custom AI agents for "narrative regrounding," moving fence-sitters and entrenched opposition toward supporting local clean energy.

2025 Programs

In 2025, CivicIQ focused on scaling localized impact and refining data-driven outreach. We partnered with developers to manage community sentiment and benefits during both greenfielding and permitting phases. A key achievement was developing breakthrough methods for identifying landowner leads in high-priority greenfielding zones. We successfully activated our subscriber base across Facebook Messenger, email, and SMS, generating critical positive public comments that helped secure a landmark permitting victory for a major wind project in Wisconsin. These results validated our ability to move the needle on the ground while building a repeatable framework for national expansion.

Citizens' Climate Education (c3)

Organization Description

Citizens’ Climate Education (CCE) empowers people across the United States to build political will for effective climate solutions in Congress. Through grassroots organizing, leadership development, and evidence-based training, CCE equips volunteers with the skills and knowledge to engage policymakers constructively. Its nationwide network supports citizen advocacy through meetings with members of Congress, local media outreach, community engagement, and strategic campaigns aligned with key policy moments. By enabling everyday people to engage their elected officials effectively, CCE helps strengthen long-term support for climate solutions.

2026 Programs

CCE will focus on strengthening the effectiveness of citizen engagement with Congress on climate policy. Core programs include expanding the BRIDGE (Building Relationships in Dialogue, Growth, and Engagement) relational advocacy training program, providing policy education on key federal climate issues, and investing in volunteer leaders who coordinate advocacy across the country. CCE will continue mobilizing constituents to meet with members of Congress, engage in local media, and participate in targeted advocacy campaigns aligned with key legislative moments. By strengthening volunteer training, policy fluency, and strategic coordination, CCE equips citizens nationwide to engage policymakers and advance climate solutions.

2025 Programs

In 2025, Citizens’ Climate Education mobilized citizens nationwide to engage Congress on climate policy. More than 17,000 volunteers took 143,000 advocacy actions, including 824 meetings with congressional offices and 430 earned media placements. CCE delivered 315 trainings, reaching 13,000 live participants and 465,900 recorded views, and developed BRIDGE (Building Relationships in Dialogue, Growth, and Engagement), a relational advocacy training program to strengthen communication across political differences. Volunteers also used district-level clean energy investment data to highlight local economic benefits of federal climate policy. These efforts strengthened citizen engagement and helped defend key clean energy provisions during major federal policy debates.

New York Civic Engagement Table (c3)

Organization Description

The New York Civic Engagement Table (NYCET) is committed to supporting the organizing efforts of more than 70 motivated partner organizations in order to bring our state closer to realizing a vibrant, multiracial democracy. In the last 15 years, NYCET and its partners have built a base of 2.3 million people by integrating civic engagement into year-round issue campaigns and direct service provisioning. As a Table, we support the organizing efforts of our partners to build movements that center communities of color, immigrants, poor, and working people. NYCET is a member of the State Voices Affiliated Network.

2026 Programs

At a time of rising authoritarianism, ensuring every New Yorker can participate in our elections is more critical than ever. The stakes are enormous: In 2026, we’ll choose not only our next governor but also a large and highly influential congressional delegation that shapes federal policy. NYCET is fundraising to support a statewide nonpartisan voter engagement program in 2026 focused on mobilizing low propensity voters, with emphasis on reaching BIPOC, youth, and low-income voters in the Hudson Valley and Long Island.

2025 Programs

NYCET partners made more than 1.2 million attempts across New York in advance of the 2025 General Election, 90% of them to low-to-mid propensity voters. Our partners were able to successfully reach voters because they're trusted messengers in their communities. In door-to-door conversations, the average contact rate was 28% – significantly higher than the average 10-15%. And when they contacted voters, they were able to move voters to action and collect commitments to vote. About 70% of voters NYCET partners spoke to committed to voting.

2024 Programs

Since the summer of 2023, NYCET has been coordinating nonpartisan field programs across the state focused on reaching BIPOC, youth, and low-mid propensity voters in advance of the 2024 General Election. Through this effort, partners have made more than 151,600 attempts including knocking on 31,155 doors.

Amazon Employees for Climate Justice (c3)

Organization Description

Amazon Employees for Climate Justice (AECJ) is a member-led organization of Amazon tech workers that uses our leverage as a highly valued workforce to pressure Amazon’s leadership to change course on environmental and climate justice. We are fighting for a world with a stable climate and thriving ecosystems, where corporations can no longer externalize impacts to our planet and communities, and workers hold collective decision-making power as a key part of healthier democratic systems. Since our launch in 2018, AECJ has consistently held Amazon accountable and won major climate victories, with our work featured in hundreds of press stories.

2025 Programs

AECJ’s Collective Watchdog Program works to daylight Amazon’s greenwashing and highlight tech workers’ stories and critiques to counter Amazon’s PR, in order to keep public and employee focus on the company’s climate and workers’ rights record. We also build cross-class solidarity with logistics workers, and support tech workers in collaborating with and augmenting the work of community-based groups on the frontlines of data center expansion. Meanwhile, our Strategic Organizing Program is building a durable worker-led organization by blending grassroots campaign techniques with labor organizing strategies. Currently, our work is centered around the theme of a “Workers’ Vision for AI.”

Organization Description

Mothers Out Front is a national movement of moms and caregivers organizing to ensure all children can live, play, and learn in a healthy climate. Since 2013, we have built the leadership and power of mothers to transform unjust systems and accelerate the transition to clean energy. Through community organizing, leadership development, and advocacy, we help moms break down the overwhelming challenge of climate change into meaningful local action, achieving tangible policy wins that advance climate justice and protect children’s health.

2025 Programs

In 2025, Mothers Out Front will focus on three strategic campaigns that mobilize moms nationwide to lead local and state climate justice efforts. Moms v. Methane will fight gas expansion and advance clean heat solutions. Sustainable Schools and Resilient Communities will decarbonize schools and create healthy, climate-ready spaces for children. Make Polluters Pay will hold the fossil fuel industry accountable for climate damages. Across all campaigns, we will expand leadership training, provide organizing tools, and amplify moms’ stories to grow a powerful, nationwide movement for a livable future.

Rhizome (c3)

Organization Description

Rhizome's core purpose is to build collective power for young people to create the safer, happier, healthier world they want to live in. Launched by 90 co-founders, we train youth leaders to organize and increase civic engagement in their local communities.

2025 Programs

Our flagship program is the Civic Service Fellowship, a leadership development program for emerging leaders in high school who learn to organize and increase civic engagement. Local Fellowship Chapters are led by paid Youth Organizers, who support teams of Fellows to lead local actions around the inclusive, nonviolent, and nonpartisan ideas they are most passionate about. We led over 100 local actions in spring 2025 and have registered over 24,000 students to vote in the last three years. Rhizome has teams of under 1,000 Fellows taking actions from over 200 high schools. Our goal is 300 high schools next year.

Organization Description

The Local Progress Impact Lab (the Impact Lab) brings together local leaders, partners, and experts to build the knowledge, skills, and leadership needed to advance racial, economic, and gender justice at the local and state level. Our membership is made up of more than 1,500 local elected officials who together form the Local Progress network. The Impact Lab provides leadership development and governance training programming and policy, communications, and organizing support to our members and supports them in utilizing a model of collaborative governance that brings historically marginalized and oppressed communities to the center of policymaking.

2025 Programs

Our work is member-driven, and as such, our issue focus areas can shift to respond to dynamic environments that create windows of opportunity for elected officials to drive an equitable agenda forward. In 2025, we will focus on climate change and climate justice, housing, economic justice, public safety, public education, and immigrant rights. Programming includes policy primers, issue deep-dives, webinars to launch and distribute resources the Impact Lab creates in collaboration with our partners, such as reports, policy memos, messaging toolkits, and case studies. We will also hold regionally-tailored leadership and governance trainings for local and state elected officials.

To achieve our vision, we fight for social, racial, economic and environmental justice. We are battling against the forces of capitalism and racism that show themselves through inequality and bigotry, and work together to oppress most people. Greed, racism, patriarchy and other systems of oppression permeate the fabric of our lives - through economics, education, housing, technological advancements, health care, the environment, and our criminal legal system.

2024 Programs

Citizen Action of New York is a statewide multi-issue organization organized in seven regions. We connect grassroots power to electoral power holding representatives accountable by engaging BIPOC communities through direct voter outreach like door to door, phone, and deep canvassing with the express purpose of addressing economic and racial inequalities.
