American Solar Grazing Association (c6)

Organization Description

ASGA is a farmer-centric non-profit with over 1,000 members. Since 2018, ASGA has supported graziers, the solar industry, and the agrivoltaic community by developing an extensive library of virtual education resources, technical guides, sample contracts, short films, and other materials. ASGA is the leading authority in solar grazing and has defined the best practices for the industry. As seasoned land stewards, educators, rural community members, and connectors, the association is uniquely positioned to develop narratives and perform outreach. Our community unites the agricultural and renewable energy industries, working to dispel the myth that agriculture and clean energy are in conflict.

2025 Programs

We plan to: develop a devoted technical assistance team; provide individual, high-touch technical assistance; establish a solar grazier mentorship program to pay certified graziers to mentor new graziers; grow the community of solar graziers; perform workforce development through in-person workshops, certifications, webinars, online training, and mentoring; develop toolkits with sample contracts, budgets, business plans, and vegetation management plans; develop the solar wool and fiber sector; create an ambassador program to engage communities through short films, farm-to-table events, workshops, and conferences; and create solar grazing media and resources for the ambassador, mentor, and technical assistance programs.

Citizens' Climate Education and Citizens' Climate Lobby work together to advance climate action in the U.S. Congress. We train and empower our grassroots network of 360 active chapters and 62 national action teams to build political will through local organizing, media engagement, and direct lobbying. During election years, we mobilize volunteers to engage candidates on climate change and boost voter turnout.

EOPA Code Blue Water Solutions (c4)

Organization Description

EOPA Code Blue is a nonpartisan network mobilizing former and current lawmakers to solve the climate emergency, ensuring environmental justice, and protecting our lands, waters, and democracy. EOPA Code Blue trains lawmakers through our Public Leadership Certificate Program with the University of San Francisco, inspires through value-based storytelling/media and video production, and organizes via peer-to-peer policy advocacy to enact climate solutions via international, national, state, and local programs. EOPA Code Blue is the only national organization mobilizing veterans who are lawmakers peer-to-peer to impact environmental policies. We work with elected officials in all 50 states and increasingly globally.

2025 Programs

1. Mobilizing veterans to defend democracy, public lands, and nature-based climate solutions. 2. Clean energy deployment, including advancing offshore wind and highlighting local renewables projects. 3. Phasing out fossil fuels, including building electrification with SAFE Cities local officials network. Our Energy Security Summit featured former DOE directors and brought 48 lawmakers to Capitol Hill to educate Congress and defend IRA. Greenlight wins approval for clean energy projects and ordinances at the local level by running campaigns that mobilize local constituents to support clean energy at moments of critical importance. Our 2024 programmatic work will advance 4.4 Gigawatts of clean energy to the grid, avoiding approximately 2 million tons of Greenhouse Gas pollution as a result.

Our educational work this year centers on a weekly streaming show and podcast, Care Talk, now in its third season. We reach ~15-25,000 viewers per episode, and also share short-form video clips to counter health care misinformation. We educate the public on health care policy, the federal budget process and more. We also produce and distribute educational health care social media content for all the social platforms. We plan to offer more large scale free online media trainings for health care advocates as well.

2024 Programs

Formed by some of the people who successfully fought off attacks on our health care in 2017, we’re organizing adults with serious medical conditions and health care activists across the country as a force for change. We are uplifting health care messaging to a disability focused audience nationally and in key states and regions through organic and paid content, as well as offering free media trainings to health care activists and storytellers.

HEET is a nonprofit reimagining and redesigning our energy system to meet the needs of the future. In 2017 HEET pioneered the idea, now made real, of thermal utilities providing building heating and cooling through interconnectable geothermal networks. These networks deliver local, clean, least-cost thermal energy. This invisible energy is everywhere including the air, the ground, and even the sea. Near HEET’s office, Boston Harbor is 3.4℃ warmer today than in 1950. That’s too hot for lobsters. It’s also enough 'anthrothermal' energy to heat over one million homes. Five days before Veterans Day, and just months after their Independence Day 2024 founding, Independent Veterans of America (IVA) celebrated a historic performance by eleven IVA-endorsed candidates in five states. IVA supported independent veteran candidates at all levels — from local school boards to the US Senate. And we sent shockwaves across the political world by winning an unprecedented 36% of our races.

Organization Description

The Local Progress Impact Lab (the Impact Lab) brings together local leaders, partners, and experts to build the knowledge, skills, and leadership needed to advance racial, economic, and gender justice at the local and state level. Our membership is made up of more than 1,500 local elected officials who together form the Local Progress network. In 2025, Nonprofit VOTE will resource and support community-based nonprofits across the nation and lay the foundation for a robust field program across 8+ states in 2026. We will train thousands of nonprofit leaders through webinars, expand access to state-specific toolkits, and coordinate National Voter Registration Day efforts. Our resources will support nonprofits in engaging hard-to-reach voters, particularly in rural, immigrant, low-income, and disability communities. After the 2024 election, Democrats have committed to working on wage increases and ending subminimum wages. In 2025, we’re seeing momentum for policy changes in Illinois, Maryland, New York, Ohio, Arizona, and California. One Fair Wage Action will support legislative campaigns in IL, MD, and NY, while in OH, AZ, and CA, we’ll push for ballot measures, mobilizing workers to gather signatures and engage voters.

Led by women of color, One Fair Wage Action is collecting voter registrations while gathering signatures for a minimum wage ballot measure. They mobilize workers, employers, and consumers nationwide to enhance wages and working conditions in the service sector, aiming to abolish all subminimum wages in the United States.

Organization Description

Rhizome's core purpose is to build collective power for young people to create the safer, happier, healthier world they want to live in. Launched by 90 co-founders, we train youth leaders to organize and increase civic engagement in their local communities.

2025 Programs

Our flagship program is the Civic Service Fellowship, a leadership development program for emerging leaders in high school who learn to organize and increase civic engagement. Local Fellowship Chapters are led by paid Youth Organizers, who support teams of Fellows to lead local actions around the inclusive, nonviolent, and nonpartisan ideas they are most passionate about. We led over 100 local actions in spring 2025 and have registered over 24,000 students to vote in the last three years. Rhizome has teams of under 1,000 Fellows taking actions from over 200 high schools. Our goal is 300 high schools next year.

Rhizome was co-founded by 90 young people in 2021. Our purpose is to build collective power for young people to create the safer, happier, healthier world they want to live in. Organization Description

ROC’s mission is to accelerate cutting-edge climate policy at the local level in communities across the country by supporting candidates, collaborating with elected leaders, and expanding the influence of climate justice advocates. We support climate champions running for local offices, flipping outcomes in highly competitive races. We support local elected officials and advocates with policy research and development, communications, strategy, peer connections, community and stakeholder engagement, and more so they can develop, pass, and implement strong policies and programs to reduce pollution, improve equity. In doing this we engage a large team of student and recent graduate interns and fellows.

2025 Programs

In 2025, ROC will expand its Local Climate Policy Network to 50 cities, supporting local officials and advocates in passing dozens of bold, justice-centered climate policies. ROC will support at least 15 first-time candidates and elect at least 10 new climate champions into office. ROC will host over 100 students and recent graduates as interns and fellows, providing them with hands-on experience electing candidates, developing and passing local policy, and educating the public. By passing bold policy now, electing new leaders, and developing future leaders, ROC will continue building a scalable, community-led model for transitioning cities off fossil fuels.

Our core programs empower Black women to lead transformative change through: 1) Justice Agenda Advocacy: Driving impactful policy changes at federal, state, and local levels by creating, distributing, and providing hands-on training with advocacy toolkits and compelling social media content. 2) Black Women Candidates Research & Tracking: Monitoring and analyzing every Black woman candidate running in every election nationwide to ensure their visibility, viability, and victories. 3) Leadership Development: Cultivating the skills, confidence, and networks of Black women political leaders and volunteers, including strengthening and expanding the Win With Black Women State Network to sustain enduring political power.

Sisters Lead Sisters Vote leverages peer to peer influence to disrupt mis- and dis-information by providing our Under 30 cohort with guidance on creating core messaging products supported by curated information and polling. Our Enteric Methane work focuses on scaling credible livestock mitigation through scientific roadmaps, market and policy alignment, and the Global Enteric Methane Impact Alliance (GEMIA) is the industry hub for coordinated action. Our Atmospheric Methane Removal program is developing the evidence, governance frameworks, and research community needed to assess and advance safe, system-level methane removal approaches. In Agricultural Nitrogen, we are mapping high-potential interventions and identifying catalytic pathways for field building. Subnational Funding Readiness & Performance (SFRP) is a flagship initiative that provides pro bono technical assistance to help capacity-constrained entities pursue and implement climate investments. Conceived, launched, and managed by Hua Nani Partners (HNP), SFRP connects subnational governments, tribes, and community-based organizations with the technical expertise and surge capacity needed to translate federal, state, local, and philanthropic funding into equitable, community-centered climate action. Backed by HNP’s deep policy, strategy, and technical expertise across sectors, SFRP is designed to close capacity gaps and ensure that climate investments reach communities that need them most.

2025 Programs

As many subnational entities face hiring freezes, layoffs, and staffing shortages, SFRP provides no-cost surge capacity to ease administrative burdens and optimize limited resources. We help awardees maintain compliance with federal grant requirements, especially Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) obligations, safeguarding critical climate investments. In parallel, we identify alternative state, local, philanthropic, and corporate funding opportunities to help under-resourced entities navigate an increasingly complex funding landscape. With the rollback of the Justice40 Initiative, SFRP remains committed to advancing equitable climate solutions by ensuring that local government-funded projects reflect community priorities, anchored by the launch of the Community Link Pilot Program.

We're fighting against Trump's anti public health nominees to run key health departments, for protecting our health care including defending against cuts to the Affordable Care Act, Medicaid, and Medicare including privatization, pushing for more affordable prescription drugs nationally and in the states, fighting against predatory medical debt, for lowering the costs of care including fighting mergers, hospital consolidation, private equity takeovers, outrageous facility fees for patients, for reining in insurance company abuses, and fighting for Medicaid expansion and public options to private insurance.

Organization Description

Welcoming Neighbors Network (WNN) is America’s only national network of independent state and local pro-housing advocacy organizations. Currently comprising 46 organizations across 29 states, WNN is reshaping housing and land use policy in the United States – from scarcity and sprawl to abundance, affordability, and sustainability. WNN members spearheaded nearly every major state and municipal level victory for pro-housing, pro-climate land use policy over the last six years. Through peer-learning, shared resources, strategic consultation, technical assistance, and fundraising support, WNN is powering the most effective land use advocacy groups in the country to achieve an affordable, climate-friendly built environment.

2025 Programs

Welcoming Neighbors Network's programs fall into three categories: 1) State and Municipal Pro-Housing Policy Campaigns – Running strategic, coalition-based advocacy effort to change the law; 2) Incubation of New Place-Based Pro-Housing Infrastructure – Enabling state and local groups to adopt and adopt WNN's successful model and build stronger, more sustainable organizations 3) Peer-to-Peer Learning Capacity Building By and For Place-Based Pro-Housing Organizations – Bringing together to share best practices, learn from one another's experiences, and weave together a durable mutual support network.
