Spark Climate Solutions accelerates progress on high-impact climate opportunities that remain underdeveloped, overlooked, or stalled. We identify areas where better science, stronger coordination, and clearer pathways can unlock major global emissions reductions, then build the strategies, networks, and evidence needed to bring solutions to scale. Our work combines scientific rigor with practical field building so governments, industry, and communities can act with confidence. Within this approach, the Global Enteric Methane Impact Alliance (GEMIA) represents Spark’s commitment to fostering trusted, industry-wide collaboration on enteric methane mitigation. Together, we drive systems-level change that advances meaningful, measurable climate impact.

Throughout 2025, Spark Climate Solutions advanced four major areas where better science and coordination can unlock rapid climate impact. Our Enteric Methane work focuses on scaling credible livestock mitigation through scientific roadmaps, market and policy alignment, and the Global Enteric Methane Impact Alliance (GEMIA) is the industry hub for coordinated action. Our Atmospheric Methane Removal program is developing the evidence, governance frameworks, and research community needed to assess and advance safe, system-level methane removal approaches. In Agricultural Nitrogen, we are mapping high-potential interventions and identifying catalytic pathways for field building. For Warming-Induced Emissions, we are strengthening science, monitoring, and policy readiness to address emerging risks.
