Organization Description

Faith in Place Action Fund builds multifaith political power for environmental justice across Illinois, Indiana, and Wisconsin. We organize people of faith and conscience to advance clean energy, healthy communities, and a just democracy through grassroots lobbying, civic engagement, leadership development, candidate engagement, and issue advocacy rooted in racial, economic, and environmental justice. Faith in Place Action Fund empowers people of faith and conscience across Illinois, Indiana, and Wisconsin to advance environmental justice through civic engagement, advocacy, and grassroots organizing. We equip communities to advocate for clean energy, healthy communities, strong democracy, and a just transition rooted in racial and economic justice.

2026 Programs

In 2026, Faith in Place Action Fund is expanding its Midwest election and advocacy infrastructure through multifaith civic engagement, grassroots lobbying, candidate engagement, and environmental justice organizing. Programs include voter engagement, digital organizing, issue advocacy, leadership development, canvassing, indoor air quality campaigns, clean energy advocacy, and legislative accountability efforts focused on building durable civic participation and long-term political power.

2025 Programs

In 2025, Faith in Place Action Fund mobilized faith communities and community leaders across Illinois, Indiana, and Wisconsin around climate, democracy, and environmental justice advocacy. Core activities included grassroots lobbying, legislative advocacy, civic engagement campaigns, Green Team organizing, leadership trainings, clean energy education, digital organizing, volunteer mobilization, and issue-based organizing focused on building long-term community power.

CivicIQ (c3)

Organization Description

At civicIQ, we use proprietary data tools and direct digital conversations to uncover what communities really think — and how to win their support. Then we engage one-on-one, using trusted channels like SMS, social media, and email to build authentic relationships and mobilize the quiet majority who support clean energy — but usually stay on the sidelines. We also build support by educating and winning over those on the fence. We champion the power of storytelling and local calls to action as a nonprofit media platform, envisioning an America powered by renewable energy and the transformational heroes who are building that future.

2026 Programs

CivicIQ’s 2026 programs target the "marginal" influence of Rural Electric Co-ops to identify pro-clean energy voters in Michigan, Missouri, and Indiana. We advance community benefit frameworks across 10–20 projects to secure tangible wins, modernize narratives, and streamline permitting through depolarization. Our digital strategy scales this impact by deploying a diversified social media brand reaching audiences from progressive youth to conservative ruralites. Finally, we leverage custom AI agents for "narrative regrounding," moving fence-sitters and entrenched opposition toward supporting local clean energy.

2025 Programs

In 2025, CivicIQ focused on scaling localized impact and refining data-driven outreach. We partnered with developers to manage community sentiment and benefits during both greenfielding and permitting phases. A key achievement was developing breakthrough methods for identifying landowner leads in high-priority greenfielding zones. We successfully activated our subscriber base across Facebook Messenger, email, and SMS, generating critical positive public comments that helped secure a landmark permitting victory for a major wind project in Wisconsin. These results validated our ability to move the needle on the ground while building a repeatable framework for national expansion.

Center for Racial and Gender Equity (c4)

Organization Description

Through leadership development, policy advocacy, civic education and political engagement, CRGE advances a grassroots vision for racial and gender justice. We run grassroots policy and electoral campaigns, engaging Black voters and building Black women’s leadership to advance legislation and candidates that explicitly support Black women’s liberation. We invest in long-term relationships with communities across Wisconsin and Illinois, to mobilize a powerful electorate behind progressive candidates and policies that authentically reflect our communities’ needs and values.

2026 Programs

Electoral: Deep engagement/relationship-building in WI and IL communities of color; Voter education/mobilization leading up to primaries and general elections; Focus on congressional swing districts (IL and WI), WI gubernatorial race, and select state legislature races.
Policy: Launch a Clean Slate campaign to bring automated records relief to Wisconsin; High potential for relationship-building in new communities, which will feed into our electoral work; Continue IL campaigns to expand childcare assistance and generate new revenues for the state.
Education: Continue our virtual series of monthly teach-ins focused on federal policy and actions, including HR1 and Know-Your-Rights/response to ICE activity.

2025 Programs

Electoral: Reached 100,000+ voters in Wisconsin before the state Supreme Court Race, educating them about the Supreme Court’s role; Changed the narrative about the race, moving voters from apathy to participation.
Policy: Passed Clean Slate legislation, which automates records sealing/expungement for eligible Illinoisans with old arrest/conviction records, and will improve access to stable housing, jobs, education, etc.; Developed plans to launch a Wisconsin Clean Slate campaign in 2026.
Leadership: Initiated a new 9-week civic-leadership program; graduated the first cohort; Offered monthly trainings on grassroots advocacy and voter mobilization; Launched a new political education series about federal policy/actions.

2024 Programs

CRGE will reach low-to-moderate-propensity Black voters in six Wisconsin counties, knocking 70,000+ doors to have deep, issues-focused conversations that promote electoral participation. We’ll supplement our canvassing with texting, phone banking, digital ads, mailers, a robust relational organizing program, and an online hub of voter resources/information.

The Wisconsin Muslim Civic Foundation (WMCF) is a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering Muslim communities across Wisconsin through civic education, leadership development, and community engagement. 2025 Programs

In 2025, WMCF will expand nonpartisan voter education, build our community base through one-on-one outreach and events, and strengthen civic leadership among Muslim youth. We’ll combat misinformation, support first-time voters, and create culturally relevant voter materials—while preparing communities for 2026 by addressing documentation barriers and promoting civic trust year-round.

2024 Programs

WMCF 2024 election programming aims to maximize voter engagement and turnout through a multifaceted approach. We will utilize targeted digital ads to reach diverse audiences online, conduct door-to-door canvassing to connect with voters personally, and organize community events to foster civic participation. Additionally, we will implementing phone and text campaigns to provide voters with critical information and reminders.
