Citizens' Climate Education (c3)

Organization Description

Citizens’ Climate Education (CCE) empowers people across the United States to build political will for effective climate solutions in Congress. Through grassroots organizing, leadership development, and evidence-based training, CCE equips volunteers with the skills and knowledge to engage policymakers constructively. Its nationwide network supports citizen advocacy through meetings with members of Congress, local media outreach, community engagement, and strategic campaigns aligned with key policy moments. By enabling everyday people to engage their elected officials effectively, CCE helps strengthen long-term support for climate solutions.

2026 Programs

CCE will focus on strengthening the effectiveness of citizen engagement with Congress on climate policy. Core programs include expanding the BRIDGE (Building Relationships in Dialogue, Growth, and Engagement) relational advocacy training program, providing policy education on key federal climate issues, and investing in volunteer leaders who coordinate advocacy across the country. CCE will continue mobilizing constituents to meet with members of Congress, engage in local media, and participate in targeted advocacy campaigns aligned with key legislative moments. By strengthening volunteer training, policy fluency, and strategic coordination, CCE equips citizens nationwide to engage policymakers and advance climate solutions.

2025 Programs

In 2025, Citizens’ Climate Education mobilized citizens nationwide to engage Congress on climate policy. More than 17,000 volunteers took 143,000 advocacy actions, including 824 meetings with congressional offices and 430 earned media placements. CCE delivered 315 trainings, reaching 13,000 live participants and 465,900 recorded views, and developed BRIDGE (Building Relationships in Dialogue, Growth, and Engagement), a relational advocacy training program to strengthen communication across political differences. Volunteers also used district-level clean energy investment data to highlight local economic benefits of federal climate policy. These efforts strengthened citizen engagement and helped defend key clean energy provisions during major federal policy debates.

2026 Programs

Building on its 2024 successes, MoveIndigo is now implementing both its National Campaign and Dual Resident Campaign. MoveIndigo’s National Campaign helps Democratic voters who are already moving (an estimated six million annually!) to discover desirable toss-up districts across the country where their votes will also be game changers. MoveIndigo’s Dual Resident Campaign encourages NYC and other blue-district Democrats who have second homes in toss-up districts in New York State to register to vote in those districts. (In 2024, MoveIndigo registrants made up more than 10% of the Democratic winning margin in CD-19! The strategy works and makes a difference.)

2025 Programs

In 2025, we laid the groundwork for both launching our National Campaign and re-launching our now-proven Dual Resident Campaign. For our National Campaign, we ran an innovative ad pilot designed to test whether we can successfully find, and meaningfully engage with, Democratic voters who are thinking about moving – and the answer is a resounding yes. We identified effective methods (leveraging targeting strategies like geofencing and lookalike audience building) to reach Democrats in the market to move, and we were gratified to see them seek information on our targeted districts as well as provide us their valuable contact info.

2024 Programs

Encouraging New York City Democrats who have second homes in toss up districts in New York State to register to vote in those districts. Progam will identify likely voters and target with messaging via online and print advertising.

Organizing Empower Project (c4)

Organization Description

Empower Project unlocks the power of personal connections to break down barriers, empower communities and enact change. We have built the largest friend-to-friend social influencing program in the country. In 2024, we facilitated 80 million social media impressions and 9 million 1:1 conversations with 3 million potential voters across 10 states. And this year, we’re aiming to take our program to 22 states in the fight to protect democracy. In an impersonal world dominated by algorithms, we can break through the noise using the power of personal conversations and connections.

2026 Programs

In 2026, Empower Project will recruit and manage trusted messengers, coordinate with partner organizations, organize trainings, and direct strategy around relational organizing across 22 states. Empower Project works because people value what their friends and family think. Our relational outreach strategies are centered on people and their trusted networks of relationships. Empower Project can also turn your social media channels into a storytelling machine - helping you create compelling content that will break through information silos and online clutter.

2025 Programs

In 2025, Empower Project’s programs in Virginia, Wisconsin, and Pennsylvania generated 2.16 million one-on-one friend to friend conversations with 770,000 potential voters. Empower Project’s Community Mobilizers shared prepared content and social media videos online that garnered 21.9 million impressions. These 'real people' social media videos were so compelling that the Spanberger for Governor campaign used four of Empower Project’s people in their paid media ads. Empower Project received an Expy Award from the Analyst Institute for our work testing Selfie-Style Direct-to-Camera (DTC) videos vs Official Campaign ads in Virginia in 2025.

2024 Programs

Organizing Empower Project has launched a multi-state paid relational program to build the largest incentivized relational organizing program in history in 10 high-profile states to reach voters not typically reachable by other means and leverage the power of relational organizing to maximize impact.

Empower Project is a communications, organizing, and technology non-profit that is a leader in relational organizing - leveraging the power of trusted messengers by having community members build lists of friends and family to communicate and influence behavior, promote informed decision-making, and increase meaningful civic engagement. We recruit and manage the trusted messengers, build the technology, coordinate with partner organizations, organize trainings, and direct the strategy that allows this sophisticated approach to communications to happen.

New York Civic Engagement Table (c3)

Organization Description

The New York Civic Engagement Table (NYCET) is committed to supporting the organizing efforts of more than 70 motivated partner organizations in order to bring our state closer to realizing a vibrant, multiracial democracy. In the last 15 years, NYCET and its partners have built a base of 2.3 million people by integrating civic engagement into year-round issue campaigns and direct service provisioning. As a Table, we support the organizing efforts of our partners to build movements that center communities of color, immigrants, poor, and working people. NYCET is a member of the State Voices Affiliated Network.

2026 Programs

At a time of rising authoritarianism, ensuring every New Yorker can participate in our elections is more critical than ever. The stakes are enormous: In 2026, we’ll choose not only our next governor but also a large and highly influential congressional delegation that shapes federal policy. NYCET is fundraising to support a statewide nonpartisan voter engagement program in 2026 focused on mobilizing low propensity voters, with emphasis on reaching BIPOC, youth, and low-income voters in the Hudson Valley and Long Island.

2025 Programs

NYCET partners made more than 1.2 million attempts across New York in advance of the 2025 General Election, 90% of them to low-to-mid propensity voters. Our partners were able to successfully reach voters because they're trusted messengers in their communities. In door-to-door conversations, the average contact rate was 28% – significantly higher than the average 10-15%. And when they contacted voters, they were able to move voters to action and collect commitments to vote. About 70% of voters NYCET partners spoke to committed to voting.

2024 Programs

Since the summer of 2023, NYCET has been coordinating nonpartisan field programs across the state focused on reaching BIPOC, youth, and low-mid propensity voters in advance of the 2024 General Election. Through this effort, partners have made more than 151,600 attempts including knocking on 31,155 doors.

Mission

The New York Civic Engagement Table (NYCET) builds power with communities of color, immigrants, poor, and working people to tackle racial and economic inequality in New York. Collaborating with a diverse group of social justice and service-based organizations, we produce lifelong voters, develop leaders, and win concrete changes in people’s lives. NYCET fosters a culture of innovation and creativity by piloting and implementing tools, tactics, and organizing strategies. Through our seamless and continuous coordination of electoral, base-building, issue advocacy, and mass engagement strategies, we work to create a better democracy.

EOPA Code Blue Water Solutions (c4)

Organization Description

EOPA Code Blue is a nonpartisan network mobilizing former and current lawmakers to solve the climate emergency, ensuring environmental justice, and protecting our lands, waters, and democracy. EOPA Code Blue trains lawmakers through our Public Leadership Certificate Program with the University of San Francisco, inspires through value-based storytelling/media and video production, and organizes via peer-to-peer policy advocacy to enact climate solutions via international, national, state, and local programs. EOPA Code Blue is the only national organization mobilizing veterans who are lawmakers peer-to-peer to impact environmental policies. We work with elected officials in all 50 states and increasingly globally.

2025 Programs

1. Mobilizing veterans to defend democracy, public lands, and nature-based climate solutions.
2. Clean energy deployment, including advancing offshore wind and highlighting local renewables projects.
3. Phasing out fossil fuels, including building electrification with SAFE Cities local officials network.
Our Energy Security Summit featured former DOE directors and brought 48 lawmakers to Capitol Hill to educate Congress and defend IRA. Organization Description

NY Renews is a coalition led by member organizations from every corner of New York. Our efforts across popular education, community engagement, and creating a pathway to a just energy transition are rooted in the needs of frontline and environmental justice communities, BIPOC New Yorkers, low-income workers and energy economy workers, Indigenous Nations, and other marginalized communities.

2025 Programs

As the main force behind the passage of NYS’s historic climate law in 2019, NY Renews is the only coalition working to ensure the mandates and goals of the law are adequately funded and fully realized. Our 2025 and 2026 plans include:
1) Watchdogging NY’s Climate Law at a time when the governor is failing to lead on climate;
2) Ensuring that the state's proposed cap-and-invest program remains the primary vessel to fund the climate law; and
3) Building the capacity of the communities we represent to strengthen our movement, deepen alignment, and lead on climate justice.

Organization Description

APIAVote is the nation’s leading nonpartisan nonprofit dedicated to educating, mobilizing, and enabling Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander communities to expand voter participation, strengthen their political voice, and foster impactful civic responsibility.

APIAVote has a proven track record of reaching and mobilizing its communities to protect and build upon the founders' vision through its four programmatic focuses; its national field program which direct grants and resources to grassroot partner organizations to conduct effective, nonpartisan civic engagement programming; its strategic communications program that aims be a trusted source for AAPI voters through translated materials and inclusive content that inspires; its youth program that trains college-age leaders to mobilize their peers to be civically engaged; and, its policy program which conducts AAPI focused research and serves as a conduit to uplift AAPI communities.

Citizens' Climate Lobby (c4)

Organization Description

Citizens' Climate Education and Citizens' Climate Lobby work together to advance climate action in the U.S. Congress. We train and empower our grassroots network of 360 active chapters and 62 national action teams to build political will through local organizing, media engagement, and direct lobbying. During election years, we mobilize volunteers to engage candidates on climate change and boost voter turnout.

2025 Programs

In 2025, Citizens' Climate Lobby is focused on defending hard-won climate victories in the U.S. Congress, such as the clean energy tax credits passed in the Inflation Reduction Act. We are also taking advantage of opportunities to make forward progress in the current political climate. These opportunities include climate-smart forestry, clean energy deployment, and building electrification.
