Citizen Action of New York is a statewide multi-issue organization organized in seven regions. We connect grassroots power to electoral power holding representatives accountable by engaging BIPOC communities through direct voter outreach like door to door, phone, and deep canvassing with the express purpose of addressing economic and racial inequalities.

We get reluctant voters to the polls by creating and distributing nonpartisan voter guides that contrast candidate stands for key races nationwide. Community and campus partners will distribute over 5 million printed guides, plus extensive online distribution. Our guides will be critical for this election of “I hate them both.”

We will phone bank into states with key US Senate races and key competitive CD races, canvass in NH, and do voter registration, voter protection, and postcard/letter writing into key campaigns.

Mission Statement

The Northampton Democratic City Committee (NDCC) works to bring together local Democrats, and functions as the hub for political organizing in electoral work locally, state-wide, and nationally. In 2016, the NDCC founded the Western MA Take Back our Democracy Coalition. Vet Voice Foundation’s direct mail program, targeting approximately 7.1 million households in states with high veteran and military family populations, will increase voter turnout among veteran and military family voters.
