Organization Description

APANO Action Fund is a registered 501(c)(4) with a mission of fostering civic engagement, social justice, and community empowerment among communities in Oregon. As a grassroots organization, we are deeply committed to addressing systemic inequities and amplifying the voices of underrepresented communities in the civic and political landscape.

2025 Programs

Our work involves organizing, advocacy, and leadership development within Asian and Asian American communities, which are often marginalized and underrepresented in civic processes. Through our programs, we engage our community members in voter education, issue advocacy, and leadership training, empowering them to take an active role in shaping public policy and the democratic process. We seek to strengthen our capacity to engage more deeply in these activities, particularly at a time when civic participation is critical to addressing pressing issues such as racial justice, immigration reform, and economic inequality.

APIAVote is the nation’s leading nonpartisan nonprofit dedicated to educating, mobilizing, and enabling Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander communities to expand voter participation, strengthen their political voice, and foster impactful civic responsibility.

Organization Description

Citizens' Climate Education and Citizens' Climate Lobby work together to advance climate action in the U.S. Congress. We train and empower our grassroots network of 360 active chapters and 62 national action teams to build political will through local organizing, media engagement, and direct lobbying. During election years, we mobilize volunteers to engage candidates on climate change and boost voter turnout.

In 2025, Citizens' Climate Education is focused on training our grassroots network to defend hard-won climate victories in the U.S. Congress, such as the clean energy tax credits passed in the Inflation Reduction Act. We are also taking advantage of opportunities to make forward progress in the current political climate. These opportunities include climate-smart forestry, clean energy deployment, and building electrification.

Community Change Action and our grassroots partners will use relational organizing to reach 250,000 Black, Latino, Native, AAPI, immigrant, women, and young voters to support navigating voting systems and mobilize for values-aligned candidates. Relational voter programs are key to engaging hard-to-reach and hard-to-find voters outside the traditional political machine.

We are working in Oregon's 5th and 6th to motivate rural young voters. 50% of our people under 26 have never voted, and 25% have voted once. These voters need to know they can make a difference rather than letting their parents and grandparents make decisions for them.

Mission

The purposes of the Organization are to: i. Educate rural voters on issues that matter most to them, ii. Engage with voters to encourage voting participation, iii. Hold legislators accountable for their actions, iv. Embrace rational, civic-minded rural values by modeling inclusion, respect, and fairness in all of our actions v. Empower forward-thinking candidates to run for and hold elected office in rural Oregon.

2024 Programs

We engage and train youth from frontline communities to participate in broad and diverse advocacy coalitions. Through our youth leadership development programs, we will support youth to plan and execute a ballot campaign that advocates for granting the state Auditor the ability to audit the legislature, increasing transparency and accountability ahead of Election Day 2024. Simultaneously, we will train Youth Leaders on their local representatives, preparing them to engage and educate local residents about down-ballot candidates. Youth Leaders will also conduct voter outreach through tabling during the week of October 28, 2024, to encourage voter turnout.

Our Climate is an organisation founded in 2013 which aims to empower young people to advocate for the science-based, equitable and intersectional climate justice policies that build a thriving world. We engage and train youth from affected communities and groups to participate in broad and diverse advocacy coalitions. Together, we build deep partnerships, mobilize, and center those most impacted by climate change to dismantle systemic oppression and achieve systemic change.

Organization Description

We are an all-volunteer organization that exists to take meaningful action to tip tight elections blue nationwide. This includes letter-writing, phonebanking, canvassing and deep canvassing, fundraising, social media, and more - all in support of candidates in the tightest elections and in support of voting rights and access. We work to elect candidates for state legislatures and other state offices such as secretaries of state, governors, Congress, and President (in swing states). We are guilt-free, data-based, and believe that changing who is in power is the best way to affect our future.

2025 Programs

In keeping with our overall goal of tipping tight elections blue, our goals for 2025 are to: 1) Win the WI Supreme Court election thereby maintaining the liberal majority (done!); 2) Flip the VA governorship and increase the Democratic majority in the VA House of Delegates (in process); 3) Develop new approaches to reach and persuade voters more effectively, including a) developing training to increase volunteer effectiveness, b) nurturing innovative communication tactics and communicators, and c) developing new persuasive documents (in process); and 4) Prepare for the 2026 midterms by ID'ing and acting on opportunities in likely swing states and districts.

TurnUp (Turnout Activism Inc.) (c3)

Organization Description

TurnUp's youth-led voter registration and turnout program targets competitive states and congressional districts. We conduct paid student-led on-campus voter registration and turnout drives at high schools and low-turnout community college campuses; relational voter registration and turnout programs targeting unregistered and low-propensity young voters; an educational internship program empowering youth to conduct text-banking, phone-banking, and canvassing; and innovative digital activities reminding young people to register and vote. Since 2019, we have registered over 400,000 young voters, texted 35 million young voters, talked to 900,000 young voters via phone, and graduated 13,000 youth from our internship program.

2025 Programs

In 2025, TurnUp is focused on registering 170,000 young people to vote in key states and congressional districts for the 2026 elections and beyond. We are also registering and turning out young voters in the VA and PA elections. TurnUp is organizing the following programs to accomplish these goals paid student-led on-campus voter registration and turnout drives at high schools and low-turnout community college campuses; relational voter registration and turnout programs targeting unregistered and low-propensity young voters; an educational internship program empowering youth to conduct text-banking, phone-banking, and canvassing; and digital activities reminding young people to register and vote.

2024 Programs

TurnUp's Youth-led GOTV program targets low-turnout community college campuses and low-propensity young voters. The program engages over 18,000 young interns, on-campus organizers, and relational organizers to utilize the following strategies: on-campus GOTV events, relational GOTV campaigns, canvassing, phone-banking, and text-banking.

We’re on a mission to strengthen democracy by increasing high impact youth civic action and closing the gap between young people who want to take civic action and those who actually take action. TurnUp includes five integrated programs that work together to increase youth voter  registration and turnout: the internship training program; online program; on campus and relational voter registration and turnout program; mobile app; and ideas incubator. Our goal is to increase youth voter registration and turnout, and build the most active, educated, organized, and powerful network of young progressive activists across the Nation
