Donuts+Democracy (Group)

Young voters will be the deciding factor in the 2024 election yet they face many hurdles to voting. Solution: Donuts+Democracy leverages peer-to-peer relational organizing by partnering with on-campus, pro-democracy GOTV students orgs with the one thing college students love - donuts. It is the most effective GOTV we’ve ever done.

We get reluctant voters to the polls by creating and distributing nonpartisan voter guides that contrast candidate stands for key races nationwide. Community and campus partners will distribute over 5 million printed guides, plus extensive online distribution. Our guides will be critical for this election of “I hate them both.”

The APA VOICE Campus Program will move Asian-American college communities in Long Island and upstate New York. We will train and re-activate youth alumni to lead and implement a localized GOTV plan that moves their campus community and the local Asian-American electorate.
