We launched 2024 Let Freedom Ride to address “generational gerrymandering” and increase youth voting on tipping point campuses in swing states and districts. We’re reimagining voter engagement and GOTV for marginalized youth at community colleges; MSIs; and trade, technical, and vocational schools.

Mission Statement
The Dermatology Interest Group Association (DIGA) is a national student-run organization committed to providing volunteering, networking, and research opportunities to medical students interested in a career in dermatology. Our initiatives fall under three spheres:
Application: Partnerships, events, & workshops built around supporting students in the residency application process, increasing transparency of the process, and centralizing information flow.
Empowerment: Identifying disparities and inefficacies in the current landscape of dermatology applicants, and working with professionals and our peers to develop tools to address them. We have a Policy, Advocacy and Diversity (PAD) Chair and committee. Some of the PAD committee goals are to work on civic engagement for patients and advocate for policy issues that can impact patients as well as the medical community. Additionally, we also have 5 Working Groups that focus on the following:
1. LGBTQ+ Health
2. Climate Change and Sustainability
3. Expanding Opportunities for those Without Home Programs
4. Skin of Color
5. Increasing Representation in Dermatology.
Enrichment: Creating platforms and environments to allow students to reach their full potential in exploring dermatological interests, expressing ideas, and expanding their medical education.
