The Dermatology Interest Group Association (DIGA) is a national student-run organization committed to providing volunteering, networking, and research opportunities to medical students interested in a career in dermatology. Our initiatives fall under three spheres: Application: Partnerships, events, & workshops built around supporting students in the residency application process, increasing transparency of the process, and centralizing information flow. Empowerment: Identifying disparities and inefficacies in the current landscape of dermatology applicants, and working with professionals and our peers to develop tools to address them. Seed the Vote is a project of Everyday People PAC. Everyday People PAC is a grassroots, social justice political fund mobilizing volunteers to defeat Trumpism. EPP supports the electoral work of grassroots organizations in swing states who are working to build the long term power of working class communities and communities of color. Seed the Vote recruits, trains and mobilizes thousands of volunteers from across the U.S. to help defeat the Right and grow people-powered movements for the long term. In three communities, we will resource and train canvass leads to run targeted canvasses in our communities focusing on queer and trans Black and brown people. Through this door-to-door and relational contact, canvass leads will invite folk to town halls to discuss critical issues impacting their lives, including the solutions they envision.
