Berrien Forward (c4)

Organization Description

Berrien Forward is a 501(c)(4) non-profit organization committed to civic engagement, electoral education, and ensuring our social safety fabric weaves together all of our collective stories and strengths to make a more united community. Berrien Forward does door-to-door canvassing, television advertisement, creation and distribution of mail programs, electoral engagement, and contracted canvassing for non-profits, organizations, and initiatives to spread their message across Southwest Michigan.

2026 Programs

Berrien Forward and it's chapter organizations in Allegan County, Van Buren County, Kalamazoo County, and Ottawa County strive to engage, educate, and empower residents on their civic power across the region. Our plan is to stand up chapter organizations across each of those counties, with programming that includes: canvassing, phone-banking, postcard writing, digital advertisements, and community events, with a focus on local, state, and national elections. Our key electoral targets are local city council and commissions, state legislative races, Governor, Secretary of State, and Attorney General, with the added goal of flipping MI-04, a critical seat in Congress.

2025 Programs

In 2025, Berrien Forward held candidate forums, community events, organized and won two city council elections in Benton Harbor and Saint Joseph, Michigan, taking a once conservative community in Saint Joseph and over the tenure of the organization flipping the commission to a 4-1 progressive majority and electing the first openly gay Mayor of Saint Joseph. We expanded into Van Buren County, investing in the South Haven mayoral race, and expanded our operations to include all of MI-04 congressional district in anticipation of our investments in 2026. 2026 Programs

Building on its 2024 successes, MoveIndigo is now implementing both its National Campaign and Dual Resident Campaign. MoveIndigo’s National Campaign helps Democratic voters who are already moving (an estimated six million annually!) to discover desirable toss-up districts across the country where their votes will also be game changers. MoveIndigo’s Dual Resident Campaign encourages NYC and other blue-district Democrats who have second homes in toss-up districts in New York State to register to vote in those districts. (In 2024, MoveIndigo registrants made up more than 10% of the Democratic winning margin in CD-19! The strategy works and makes a difference.)

2025 Programs

In 2025, we laid the groundwork for both launching our National Campaign and re-launching our now-proven Dual Resident Campaign. For our National Campaign, we ran an innovative ad pilot designed to test whether we can successfully find, and meaningfully engage with, Democratic voters who are thinking about moving – and the answer is a resounding yes. We identified effective methods (leveraging targeting strategies like geofencing and lookalike audience building) to reach Democrats in the market to move, and we were gratified to see them seek information on our targeted districts as well as provide us their valuable contact info.

2024 Programs

Encouraging New York City Democrats who have second homes in toss up districts in New York State to register to vote in those districts. Progam will identify likely voters and target with messaging via online and print advertising.

Save Our Schools Arizona Network (c3)

Organization Description

Save Our Schools Arizona Network works to build the organizing capacity and electoral power of Arizona communities that are most often ignored by and underrepresented in existing state and local power structures. We organize year-round around the issue of public education because the whole community is often invested in and responsible for the success of their local schools. This is particularly true in low-income and underrepresented rural, Black, Latino, and Indigenous communities, where chronically underfunded public schools remain the only education option.

2026 Programs

In 2026, we are strengthening community public schools by hosting town halls, listening sessions, and grassroots events to build civic engagement and rein in Arizona’s unaccountable ESA voucher program. We are training volunteers to defend immigrant families, oppose anti-LGBTQ+ and anti-equity policies, and combat school privatization. Through nonpartisan candidate forums and surveys, we will help voters evaluate candidates’ positions on public education. Finally, through our School Board Alliance and Fellowship pipeline, we are mentoring and supporting values-aligned school board members, providing training and resources to build lasting, community-centered leadership that serves students, educators, and families statewide.

2025 Programs

SOSAZN expanded our statewide organizing infrastructure, particularly in Southern and rural Arizona, adding 4,300+ volunteers and significantly increasing digital and email engagement. We mobilized parents, educators, and students through town halls, school board advocacy, and 57 Education Roadshow presentations to counter disinformation and advance pro-public education policies. We built Community Action Teams across Northern Arizona and in Yuma, Pinal, Cochise, and Santa Cruz counties, led voter registration and GOTV efforts, and strengthened youth leadership pipelines. We also helped defeat harmful legislation, blocked efforts to permanently expand vouchers, and launched a School Board Fellowship supporting 17 newly elected members statewide.

2024 Programs

Save Our Schools AZ engages voters most disadvantaged by cuts to state education funding, including low-income and underrepresented rural, Black, Latino, and Indigenous communities. Our 18,000+ statewide volunteer network employs phone/text banking, roadshows, community tabling, digital ads, and relational organizing.

The Arizona Students' Association (c4)

Organization Description

The student-led Arizona Students’ Association works to actively empower the student voice, create concrete change, and advocate for student issues by developing student leaders; initiating and executing grassroots campaigns; raising awareness; creating a firm foundation on our stances through proper research; and engaging our government officials at a local, state, and national level.

2026 Programs

The youth and student populations are a growing voting bloc, yet still underrepresented. Young people (18–30) make up a large share of eligible voters, but historically vote less often than older age groups, which means elected officials don’t always listen to your priorities. Students face specific barriers like moving frequently, confusing registration rules, and a lack of targeted outreach — things GOTV efforts are designed to overcome. ASA plans to organize students 18-35 years old by providing them a fellowship program where they get college credit and get paid to participate in the local & federal elections.

2025 Programs

In 2025, ASA registered 5,000 students to vote across the state. Held town halls and listening sessions on issues impacting students, and a major topic of discussion was public transportation for our rural colleges, Northern Arizona University, and Arizona Western College. ASA did federal accountability work around HR1 (The Big Ugly Bill) to fight for no cuts to Pell Grant funding in CD7, CD2, CD6, and CD4. ASA also had a major win in historic funding from the Arizona state budget to Arizona Universities.

2024 Programs

ASA plans to hire and train 120 fellows for GOTV and hopes to knock on over 100,000 doors, run digital ads, text, and class wrap to turn out 18-30 year olds across the state to help our issues of focus candidates get elected and create the concrete change we hope to see in Arizona.

Protect Black Freedoms: Statewide Freedom Networks. We have identified member leads who can bottom line our statewide efforts to build out a Protect Black Freedoms Policy platform, in other words, Freedom Networks. What is a Freedom Network? It is a statewide issue-based network that correlates with one of the NC Freedoms from the Freedom Papers. NC BLOC supports the coordination of these networks, which are led by local leaders across North Carolina. These networks are a space for us to envision, dream, develop, and execute experiments that will help our communities.

2024 Programs

NC BLOC is dedicated to implementing strategies focused on advancing Black communities and prioritizing community-based programming dedicated to advancing Black liberation. We know that the keys to ensuring voter engagement from 2024 and beyond include building trust, understanding concerns and pain-points, and stressing power through voting and collective action.

Mission

NC Black Leadership and Organizing Collective (NC BLOC) is a statewide mass movement formation composed of strong, publicly active, left, Black, and POC-led institutions (organizations, businesses, schools, etc.) and community leaders who are dedicated to creating and implementing strategies focused on advancing Black and marginalized communities across North Carolina. Our formations are also committed to effectively working together to build and strengthen a Black-led statewide infrastructure that makes it possible to win policy changes, gain political alignment, and build relationships that improve the quality of life of black, poor, working-class, and other marginalized communities.

In 2026, we will continue to grow our base, working to enhance our membership experience and build lasting connections with our members and volunteers. We will expand our advocacy and accountability work protecting those most harmed, and fighting for affordability, public education, LGBTQ+ rights, immigrant rights, and economic prosperity, including increasing PA’s minimum wage. We will expand trainings and educational programs and endorse in key statewide races and congressional races.

2025 Programs

Action Together NEPA greatly expanded in 2025, doubling our membership and growing our regional capacity to include 19 counties in northeastern Pennsylvania.

2024 Programs

Action Together NEPA engages voters in an accountability campaign, focusing on outreach and early voter education. This campaign focuses on office holders for President, U.S. Senate, and U.S. House of Representatives. ATNEPA works to educate voters and raise awareness around issues and how the Pennsylvania legislature impacts their priorities.

Nebraska Civic Engagement Table (c3)

Organization Description

We are a service-oriented organization focused on providing direct core support and capacity-building training and resources to our 501(c)(3) nonprofit members. We help nonprofits who provide direct services to, or advocate for, underrepresented communities to create, expand, and sustain civic engagement and nonpartisan voter outreach programs. We also help our nonprofit Member organizations build the organizational capacity needed to support grassroots advocacy and voter engagement initiatives, in addition to their other programs. We strengthen the nonprofit community through collaboration, leadership development, and professional training and resources.

2026 Programs

For 2026, the Nebraska Table's key focuses are on direct democracy and voting rights and voting access. We strive to ensure that the will of Nebraska voters is heard through accountability of lawmakers and clean implementation of voter-passed legislation. We support legislation that increases transparency and accessibility in the voting process, and we will be engaging in defensive work against harmful legislation that curtails voting rights and dilutes representation.

2025 Programs

2025 was a very successful year for the Table! We started the Legal Fund, where we paid out over $100,000 to over 25 grantees, and continue to build out the program with more grantees and the creation of a Legal Library in 2026. We started a Tuesday Policy call to educate and mobilize nonprofits on updates from the federal Executive and Judicial branches. We successfully engaged in our first municipal initiative, helping pass Lincoln for Fair Housing to eliminate income discrimination in the city of Lincoln. We and our members contacted over 18,000 voters through a variety of platforms.

2024 Programs

We work collaboratively with members to conduct year-round civic engagement efforts. In 2024 we are supporting a collaborative VR/GOTV initiative of five Member orgs knocking doors to mobilize voters in low turnout neighborhoods in North and South Omaha (CD2), increasing voter participation through increased voter registration and education.

PowerMoves (c3)

Organization Description

PowerMoves is on a mission to build a more civil, just and inclusive society by helping people who are moving find communities where they will be happy, safe, and welcome – and where their votes will be powerful. To facilitate this, we have launched a Voter Impact Index (V-Impact) tool that helps people understand the impact of their vote based on their zip code. We also recommend communities where people can have high voter impact scores AND have their quality of life priorities are met.

2026 Programs

We have launched an initial version of our Voter Impact Index (V-Impact), which projects the impact of your vote in any zip code. V-Impact is a non-partisan index, which assigns to every zip code a voter impact score that is calculated based on the competitiveness of six federal and state elections associated with that unique zip code. Individuals can use the score to identify competitive locations where they can meet their quality of life priorities like: LGBTQ+ safety, tax friendliness, reproductive health care rights, and climate resiliency.

2025 Programs

In 2025, our focus was building the Voter Impact Index which is live and can be accessed at: https://www.powermoves.vote/voter-impact-index-lookup-1. We also identified communities that are electorally competitive AND that meet the 4 quality of life priorities we identified: LGBTQ+ safety, tax friendliness, reproductive health care rights, and climate resiliency. We have also focused on colleges that are in competitive districts. We just began outreach to movers near the close of 2025.

Organization Description

The Source LGBT+ Center is a trusted hub for advocacy, empowerment, and connection in California’s Central Valley. We engage and uplift LGBTQ+ individuals—especially youth, BIPOC, trans, and rural residents—through voter education, civic engagement, and grassroots organizing. Our work includes voter registration drives, issue-based outreach, and leadership development to ensure our community is informed, empowered, and heard. In a region where LGBTQ+ voices are often overlooked, The Source builds power through connection, coalition-building, and action—mobilizing our community to protect their rights and shape a more just and inclusive future. Every voice counts. Every vote matters. We make sure of it.

2025 Programs

In 2025, The Source LGBT+ Center offers over 30 programs supporting LGBTQ+ individuals across Tulare and Kings Counties. Our services include youth and senior groups, transgender support, mental health resources, HIV prevention, and gender-affirming care navigation. We provide free therapy, support groups, and a welcoming drop-in center. Our outreach includes school-based programs, rural services, and community events like Pride Visalia and Rainbow Run. We also advance civic engagement through voter education, leadership development, and advocacy. All programs center equity, resilience, and belonging, thus empowering our diverse LGBTQ+ community to thrive in a region where support is needed most.

Great Plains Action Society (c3)

Organization Description

Great Plains Action Society addresses the trauma that Indigenous Peoples and the Earth face and work to prevent further christian colonial capitalist violence by fighting for and building power in Indigenous communities through reMatriation, healing justice and a regenerative economy. When we imagine a strong political infrastructure, societies built on compassion, and a regenerative economy, we see a focus on relationships and community. Contrary to this county’s notion of independent thought and action, we recognize the importance of relationships and community as the foundation for true democracy. Radical individualism only benefits the wealthy.

2025 Programs

Our initiatives–Protect the Sacred, Land Defense, Civic Engagement, and Representation–all use various tactics to achieve our goals, such as education, art, culture, media, healing justice and mutual aid programs, and frontline actions. We are currently defending land against carbon capture pipelines, coal plants, and Big-Ag. Fighting for DEI, and reproductive liberation, while pushing back against racist Native American mascots. We also get out the vote and increase civic engagement. We are currently building an Indigenous-led Urban Resilience and Innovation Hub in Iowa City, featuring a community center, healing justice house, and urban farm, with a focus on serving disenfranchised communities.

Rhizome (c3)

Organization Description

Rhizome's core purpose is to build collective power for young people to create the safer, happier, healthier world they want to live in. Launched by 90 co-founders, we train youth leaders to organize and increase civic engagement in their local communities.

2025 Programs

Our flagship program is the Civic Service Fellowship, a leadership development program for emerging leaders in high school who learn to organize and increase civic engagement. Local Fellowship Chapters are led by paid Youth Organizers, who support teams of Fellows to lead local actions around the inclusive, nonviolent, and nonpartisan ideas they are most passionate about. We led over 100 local actions in spring 2025 and have registered over 24,000 students to vote in the last three years. Rhizome has teams of under 1,000 Fellows taking actions from over 200 high schools. Our goal is 300 high schools next year.

Rhizome was co-founded by 90 young people in 2021. Our purpose is to build collective power for young people to create the safer, happier, healthier world they want to live in. We're engaged in voter registration, GOTV work, and student-led narrative change around youth voice and representation in 2024.

2025 Programs

MOVE Texas plans to amplify its impact in 2025 through organizing, member-led issue education, and leadership development, empowering young Texans to engage in the democratic process. With the 89th Texas Legislative session underway, we are rolling out our "Get Sh*t Done" Agenda to guide our work around key issues like climate, reproductive rights, and democracy. Our evergreen civic engagement efforts will focus on voter registration and municipal elections.

2024 Programs

We will operate 25 campus chapters focused on civic engagement and issue advocacy, register 13,000 new voters, expand polling access (campus polling locations, countywide polling), launch voting rights, climate, and gender justice issue campaigns to engage young issues-first voters, and operate leadership development programs to grow capacity for youth-led organizing and power building. Up until the election, we will follow up with registered voters to ensure that they are informed and prepared to vote.

MOVE Texas is a grassroots, nonpartisan, nonprofit organization dedicated to building the power of young people in underrepresented communities through civic engagement, leadership development, and issue education. Young Texans possess the appetite and the energy to make their voices heard in the decisions and processes that impact their lives and communities, positioning them to make waves in Texas and beyond. We invest in and engage young people to become agents of change who harness their power to engage their peers in the democratic process to champion progressive values. Through intentional coaching and support, we empower young people to build a responsive, accountable, and equitable democracy.

Organization Description

Down Home is all about building power for working-class communities in North Carolina. We focus on deep organizing, real conversations, and grassroots action to create lasting change. By centering rural and small-town voices, we fight for economic justice, racial equity, and policies that actually support everyday people. Whether it's elections, policy advocacy, or movement-building, our goal is to make sure all North Carolinians - no matter their background - have a real say in shaping their future.

In 2025, we're focused on deepening our base, expanding our reach, and strengthening our foundation. Through the Year of the Member Project, we're investing in our people - developing leaders, building ownership, and making sure members drive our work. The Beyond the Choir Project will bring in new voices, connecting with those who share our values but haven't engaged yet. And to sustain it all, we're strengthening our internal systems - ensuring financial stability, better development tracking, and real accountability. With clear goals, strong support, and the right systems in place, we're building lasting power for working-class communities across North Carolina.

Down Home will engage the multiracial working class over an18-county area larger than the state of New Jersey via an integrated voter contact program including more than 500,000 door attempts. Our program is best-in-class and covers the lowest density, highest opportunity rural turf home to 20% of the state’s population.

Mission

Down Home North Carolina (DHNC) is a project to build a multiracial statewide organization of rural and small town communities that advocate for economic, gender, and racial justice. We will move North Carolina toward the values of dignity, safety, and inclusion through leadership development, strategic campaigning, multiracial movement building, and civic engagement to advance real reforms for rural communities.

Local Progress Policy Institute (c3)

Organization Description

The Local Progress Impact Lab (the Impact Lab) brings together local leaders, partners, and experts to build the knowledge, skills, and leadership needed to advance racial, economic, and gender justice at the local and state level. Our membership is made up of more than 1,500 local elected officials who together form the Local Progress network. The Impact Lab provides leadership development and governance training programming and policy, communications, and organizing support to our members and supports them in utilizing a model of collaborative governance that brings historically marginalized and oppressed communities to the center of policymaking.

2025 Programs

Our work is member-driven, and as such, our issue focus areas can shift to respond to dynamic environments that create windows of opportunity for elected officials to drive an equitable agenda forward. In 2025, we will focus on climate change and climate justice, housing, economic justice, public safety, public education, and immigrant rights. Programming includes policy primers, issue deep-dives, webinars to launch and distribute resources the Impact Lab creates in collaboration with our partners, such as reports, policy memos, messaging toolkits, and case studies. We will also hold regionally-tailored leadership and governance trainings for local and state elected officials.

In 2025 and beyond, we see our rights to speak out against injustices, and to advocate for our communities come under attack. In the face of state repression, we will mobilize Black and Southeast Asian folx to move past fear and into the streets to challenge this oppressive administration. We will also politicize our base and enlist their help in strengthening existing mutual aid networks and community funded alternatives to government aid.

MOVE Texas plans to amplify its impact in 2025 through organizing, member-led advocacy, and leadership development, empowering young Texans to engage in the political process. With the 89th Texas Legislative session underway, we are rolling out key initiatives including our "Get Sh*t Done" Agenda, Youth Capitol Takeover, and Anti-Lege Lege Club to mobilize young people to take bold action against restrictive policies on climate, reproductive rights, and democracy.

2024 Programs

We will operate 25 campus chapters focused on civic engagement and issue advocacy, register 7,000 new voters, roll out an endorsement process, expand access to voting (campus polling locations, countywide polling), launch voting rights, climate, and gender justice issue campaigns to engage young issues-first voters, and conduct leadership development programs to grow youth-led power building capacity. Up until the election, we will follow up with registered voters to ensure that they are informed and prepared to vote.

Our narrative change and storytelling program creates, measures, and disseminates compelling content and messages about the power and promise of state policy. Our research program investigates, measures and reports on crucial trends at the state legislative level, including the composition and reflectiveness of state legislatures, voter participation in state elections, and state legislative electoral outcomes over time. Our State Bridges program will raise funds for 501(C)(3) organizations running year round nonpartisan organizing programs in their local communities.

Supports Democrats running for competitive state legislative seats, where precision investments can close narrow margins and win entire chambers. We “sister” our local volunteers with endorsed candidates, bringing capacity for phonebanking, fundraising, and more. We engage and train youth from frontline communities to participate in broad and diverse advocacy coalitions. Through our youth leadership development programs, we will support youth to plan and execute a ballot campaign that advocates for granting the state Auditor the ability to audit the legislature, increasing transparency and accountability ahead of Election Day 2024. Simultaneously, we will train Youth Leaders on their local representatives, preparing them to engage and educate local residents about down-ballot candidates. Youth Leaders will also conduct voter outreach through tabling during the week of October 28, 2024, to encourage voter turnout.

Community Civil Activist engages Black voters through a blend of traditional and innovative turnout treatments. We recruit high-propensity Black voters as volunteers to encourage low-frequency Black voters in their own communities to vote. Through a targeted three-touch persuasion campaign customized for Washington's youth, coupled with an expanded campus footprint spanning ten universities, we aim to ignite peer-to-peer civic activation. Our nonpartisan voter guide and signature "Candidate Survivor" forum will empower young voters with crucial candidate insights.

The Washington Bus is a statewide movement building organization that increases the political and civic engagement of young people, ages 15-35, and develops the next generation of leaders and organizers.
