Aliento Education Fund (c3)

2025 Programs

Aliento will develop content to strengthen connections between school districts, families, and students. For example, Aliento organized large-scale mobilization efforts at Arizona State University, bringing 1,000 students in solidarity with DREAMers facing targeted opposition. Advocacy efforts focus on protecting legal and educational rights, including Plyler v. Doe and Proposition 308, which grants in-state tuition to DREAMers. Aliento will continue to implement Know Your Rights (KYR) trainings, college readiness workshops, and arts and healing workshops.

2024 Programs

Aliento targets young people (18-35), Latinxs, and immigrant supporters through phone banking, canvassing, relational organizing, and social media and digital ads. Through storytelling, Aliento educates on the importance of voting, candidate knowledge, and stances on immigration issues. Aliento incorporates personal narratives and economic data to engage low-propensity and disenfranchised voters.

Mission

Aliento serves undocumented, DACA, and mixed immigration status families to transform trauma into hope and action. We are youth-led and directly impacted people and allies who are invested in the well-being, emotional healing, and leadership development of those impacted by the inequities of lacking an immigration status.

Blue Future is hiring, training, and mobilizing young organizers to turnout young voters in Virginia, working hand-in-hand with Abigail Spanberger’s Gubernatorial campaign. So far this year, 50 young organizers in Virginia have called 33,750 young voters in just 8 weeks, helping folks register and make a plan to vote. As of August, we are prepared to hire 100 organizers for our Fall cohort and have received 133 applications but currently have funding for 50, leaving a gap of $37,500. We’re raising an additional $15,000 to support local grants to High School and College Democrats in Virginia to increase attendance at their volunteer phonebanks and canvasses.

2025 Programs

Our Spring 2025 Cohort is well underway with rural leaders spanning 15 states. Dirtroad will be launching two more in-house Cohorts this year: one in Summer 2025 and the other in Winter 2025. In addition, we are planning to run a Cohort for rural leaders under 40 in collaboration with Run For Something. Lastly, thanks to dedicated funding support, we are partnering with the Maine Organic Farmers and Gardeners Association to run a Cohort specifically for rural climate and agricultural leaders with a focus on sustainable agriculture. In total, we aim to train 80 rural leaders in 2025.

EOPA Code Blue is a nonpartisan network mobilizing former and current lawmakers to solve the climate emergency, ensuring environmental justice, and protecting our lands, waters, and democracy. Volunteer Community Outreach is our top priority. We volunteer to: Provide services at Senior Centers (reception, luncheon, meals-on-wheels); Attend local LGBTQ meetings, support their/our priorities and engage in their/our actions; Assist our Latinx neighbors with transportation upon release from detention, for medical appointments, for visits to lawyers. We work to provide help for children whose parents are detained, and highlight education on rights and protections. We engage in local government meetings–County Commissioners, School Boards, Senior Center Boards, Township Trustees, City Council. We will engage in targeted voter outreach as the 2025 primary and general elections draw nearer.

We are volunteers dedicated to democracy in a deeply red, rural county. Goals: Contact like-minded and persuadable voters–empower them to vote. Reach voters via conversations at events and in public venues, canvass (“standard” and “deep”), promote our Talk Teams, distribute cards/pamphlets, text, engage through social media and billboards.

Land Stewardship Action Fund (c4)

Organization Description

Land Stewardship Action impacts elections and supports candidates at all levels of government. LSP's membership realized we could no longer sit on the sidelines in the current political environment. To make a bigger difference to advance our values of stewardship, justice, fairness, democracy, community, and health for people and the land, we need to engage LSP’s base in elections at all levels and support candidates for office who will lead with us and champion our priorities. They recognized the power that comes with being able to drive forward the same missions as LSP, but with an expanded set of tools.

2025 Programs

During 2025 Land Stewardship Action is focusing on developing its base and leadership in key geographies across the state, where we know we will be organizing and engaging candidates in the 2026 elections. We will work to deepen our relationships with the state and local candidates we've endorsed during past election cycles to further pursue policy solutions together and show the power of endorsements. We will start talking with those in our base, and not yet in our base, about the importance of hyper-local elected and appointed offices in moving forward our shared values and policy priorities.

We will educate and engage non-affiliated voters in Deschutes County, ages 18-35, who did not vote in the 2020 general election, including Latinx youth voters. We are establishing partnerships with local colleges and the Latino Community Association to develop and execute targeted messages and strategies for these populations.

Mission

Living United for Change in Arizona (LUCHA) organizes low- and moderate-income and minority families to take action on the issues most important to them and advance the cause of social and economic justice for all. In 2025 we are working to keep momentum from the 2024 General, engaging voters in the Lincoln and Omaha municipal elections, funding and supporting off-cycle relationship building in other communities. We are also anticipating fights against Winner-Take-All electoral voting and rights for transgender youth participating in sports and other activities. We will leverage the data we obtained about our universe through the 2024 ballot initiatives to re-engage voters who still care deeply about these issues.

We work collaboratively with members to conduct year-round civic engagement efforts. In 2024 we are supporting a collaborative VR/GOTV initiative of five Member orgs knocking doors to mobilize voters in low turnout neighborhoods in North and South Omaha (CD2), increasing voter participation through increased voter registration and education.

In 2025 and beyond, NPP will continue our programmatic work around voter engagement, to include voter registration efforts and the advancement of a PA state voting rights act; civic education to include federal and state courts advocacy ahead of state judicial elections in 2025 and; independent expenditure voter participation programs to mobilize the electorate to the polls in both the primary and general elections, in 2025 and beyond.

NPP, a voting rights organization will engage in community conversations, candidate forums, voting rights protection, expansion and advocacy by meeting our centered communities (Black, Indigenous and other people of color, immigrant communities and the youth) where they are and providing all the necessary civic education needed to expand the electorate.

The New Pennsylvania Project (NPP) is a voting rights organization with a year-round primary focus on voter registration, civic education and mobilization. NPP centers historically disenfranchised and often neglected Black, Indigenous and other people of color, immigrant communities and the youth in our work. Ohio Organizing Campaign (c4)

The Campaign registered nearly 160,000 Black, working-class, and young voters in cities such as Columbus, Cleveland, and Cincinnati. Our endorsement committee (made up of students, formerly incarcerated individuals, faith leaders, public school parents, and childcare providers) backed candidates in competitive congressional races, as well as sheriff and prosecutor races. Yet, challenges like lower voter turnout and restrictive voting policies persist, underscoring the need for continued grassroots organizing.

2024 Programs

In 2024, we will work to expand the electorate and close the racial and age gap amongst registered voters in Ohio. We plan to register 145,000 voters in Black communities and 35,000 young voters on college campuses, and mobilize them and more by knocking on 1,000,000 doors to reach 250,000 voters.

California is at a crossroads in the climate fight. As a clean energy pioneer, the state made history in 2012 by launching its cap-and-invest program. With the program set to expire in 2030, the oil industry is doing everything it can to weaken and delay the reauthorization process. Meanwhile, frontline communities continue to bear the brunt of pollution and climate-driven disasters. As the legislature works to extend the program through 2045, environmental justice advocates are mobilizing to ensure that equity, not industry influence, shapes California’s clean energy future. Funds raised will support additional resources for the group's communications campaign.

Organization Description

Subnational Funding Readiness & Performance (SFRP) is a flagship initiative that provides pro bono technical assistance to help capacity-constrained entities pursue and implement climate investments. Conceived, launched, and managed by Hua Nani Partners (HNP), SFRP connects subnational governments, tribes, and community-based organizations with the technical expertise and surge capacity needed to translate federal, state, local, and philanthropic funding into equitable, community-centered climate action. Backed by HNP’s deep policy, strategy, and technical expertise across sectors, SFRP is designed to close capacity gaps and ensure that climate investments reach communities that need them most.

2025 Programs

As many subnational entities face hiring freezes, layoffs, and staffing shortages, SFRP provides no-cost surge capacity to ease administrative burdens and optimize limited resources. We help awardees maintain compliance with federal grant requirements, especially Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) obligations, safeguarding critical climate investments. In parallel, we identify alternative state, local, philanthropic, and corporate funding opportunities to help under-resourced entities navigate an increasingly complex funding landscape. With the rollback of the Justice40 Initiative, SFRP remains committed to advancing equitable climate solutions by ensuring that local government-funded projects reflect community priorities, anchored by the launch of the Community Link Pilot Program.

SWIM - State Wide Indivisible Michigan (Group)

Organization Description

State Wide Indivisible Michigan (SWIM) maintains a mission to actively protect, defend and promote the principles and institutions of democracy for all people, standing in solidarity with Blacks, Indigenous and People of Color (BIPOC) and all communities on the front lines of injustice. SWIM works in collaboration with local Indivisible groups and partner organizations to increase and amplify our power through collective actions and shared resources and to hold our elected officials accountable for demonstrating our values in their leadership.

2025 Programs

1. Support local groups in building member engagement for local, state and national actions. a. Provide structured events for local groups to tap easily into through Democracy Action Working Group and other working groups. b. Provide a network of resources and connections with other Local Indivisible Groups and outside partner organizations. 2. Support progressive candidates in statewide and local races of importance; help identify good candidates to support through partner organization DemCast Michigan. 3. Assist partner organizations in voter education and amplify support or opposition to citizens’ initiatives and legislation.

In 2024, our organization is focused on improving our Precinct Captain Program. We aim to develop an effective, self-sustaining program in which our all-volunteer precinct captains share the organizing work of activating local voters and volunteers, strengthening our organizing networks, and fostering a stronger sense of community amongst Democrats.

The Yellowstone County Democratic Party seeks opportunity, equality, and accountability. Our cause as Montana Democrats is as simple and as ambitious as the purpose stated in the Constitution of the United States: We strive to create “a more perfect union.” Like the founders of this nation, we believe that such a union must be a government of the people and by the people dedicated to securing for every single citizen the inalienable rights of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.
