United for Respect (c4)

Organization Description

United for Respect (UFR) is a national grassroots organization building a movement led by low-wage workers, especially women and Black, Indigenous, and other people of color. These workers, earning under $18/hour, make up over 31 million people across the U.S. UFR organizes this multiracial workforce to improve wages, benefits, and working conditions while strengthening democratic participation. By engaging workers often overlooked by traditional outreach – many of whom face barriers to voting – UFR connects workplace organizing with civic action, empowering people to advocate for economic security, healthcare access, and a stronger voice in their workplaces and communities.

2026 Programs

UFR’s theory of change centers workplace organizing as a pathway to sustained civic leadership. Workers who organize on the job become trusted messengers, shaping narratives about economic justice and corporate accountability while influencing their communities and elections. In 2026, UFR’s civic strategy combines bold, worker-centered messaging; peer storytelling; digital-first outreach; and volunteer engagement, with a focus on key down-ballot races. UFR will activate its network of over 373,000 workers and supporters, run state-based programs in GA, MI, CA, TX and NC reaching 1.65 million target voters, and share tools and insights with partners to expand impact and turnout.

2025 Programs

UFR advanced worker power through organizing, policy advocacy, and leadership development. We expanded OSHA accountability efforts by documenting Amazon warehouse conditions and elevating worker voices. We mobilized thousands of workers to respond to threats to SNAP and Medicaid and built bipartisan coalitions in Michigan to challenge corporate tax loopholes. In Georgia, we drove safety improvements and advanced worker protection legislation, while in California we helped preserve $30M in state worker outreach funding. We grew our network to 373,368, and delivered 27,532 messages to decision-makers. We also launched an AI and workplace tech survey for low-wage workers.

2024 Programs

UFR's civic engagement program integrates online/offline organizing to boost voter turnout from a low-wage, majority women and BIPOC voting bloc of 2 million people across urban, rural, and suburban geographies. We move our base through deep relationship building into action, and leverage persuasion messaging to turn out low-propensity voters.

Organization Description

Founded in 2003, Free Press is a national, nonpartisan, nonprofit group that envisions a media system that helps communities thrive, protects civil rights and liberties, and supports a just, multiracial democracy. Free Press researches and designs policy solutions to pressing media and tech problems, leads coalitions of allies across the media and democracy field, and educates policymakers, the press and the public on the future of journalism, digital civil rights, and a free and open internet. Free Press currently has 40 staff working across 16 states and in Washington, D.C., as well as hundreds of thousands of engaged local activists.

Organization Description

ROC’s mission is to accelerate cutting-edge climate policy at the local level in communities across the country by supporting candidates, collaborating with elected leaders, and expanding the influence of climate justice advocates. We support climate champions running for local offices, flipping outcomes in highly competitive races. We support local elected officials and advocates with policy research and development, communications, strategy, peer connections, community and stakeholder engagement, and more so they can develop, pass, and implement strong policies and programs to reduce pollution, improve equity. In doing this we engage a large team of student and recent graduate interns and fellows.

2026 Programs

In 2026, ROC will provide endorsements and meaningful support at least 25 climate champion candidates, and elect at least 20 into local offices. ROC will also support local officials and advocates in over 35 cities and counties in passing dozens of bold, justice-centered climate policies. ROC will host over 100 students and recent graduates as interns and fellows, providing them with hands-on experience electing candidates, developing and passing local policy, and educating the public. By passing bold policy now, electing new leaders, and developing future leaders, ROC will continue building a scalable, community-led model for transitioning cities off fossil fuels.

2025 Programs

In 2020, we supported 17 candidates and elected 12 climate champions into local office. In Ithaca, NY we won by 11 votes and in San Jose, CA by 6 votes! We grew our Local Climate Policy Network from 33 to 50 elected officials representing over 15 Million people across 34 jurisdictions. We helped to pass and implement dozens of bold climate justice policies in these communities, including the historic Healthy Buildings Ordinance in Evanston, IL. We also launched our first-ever summer door-to-door canvass, which knocked over 4,000 doors and brought over 1,000 people into climate action and raised over $40,000.

Citizens' Climate Education (c3)

Organization Description

Citizens’ Climate Education (CCE) empowers people across the United States to build political will for effective climate solutions in Congress. Through grassroots organizing, leadership development, and evidence-based training, CCE equips volunteers with the skills and knowledge to engage policymakers constructively. Its nationwide network supports citizen advocacy through meetings with members of Congress, local media outreach, community engagement, and strategic campaigns aligned with key policy moments. By enabling everyday people to engage their elected officials effectively, CCE helps strengthen long-term support for climate solutions.

2026 Programs

CCE will focus on strengthening the effectiveness of citizen engagement with Congress on climate policy. Core programs include expanding the BRIDGE (Building Relationships in Dialogue, Growth, and Engagement) relational advocacy training program, providing policy education on key federal climate issues, and investing in volunteer leaders who coordinate advocacy across the country. CCE will continue mobilizing constituents to meet with members of Congress, engage in local media, and participate in targeted advocacy campaigns aligned with key legislative moments. By strengthening volunteer training, policy fluency, and strategic coordination, CCE equips citizens nationwide to engage policymakers and advance climate solutions.

2025 Programs

In 2025, Citizens’ Climate Education mobilized citizens nationwide to engage Congress on climate policy. More than 17,000 volunteers took 143,000 advocacy actions, including 824 meetings with congressional offices and 430 earned media placements. CCE delivered 315 trainings, reaching 13,000 live participants and 465,900 recorded views, and developed BRIDGE (Building Relationships in Dialogue, Growth, and Engagement), a relational advocacy training program to strengthen communication across political differences. Volunteers also used district-level clean energy investment data to highlight local economic benefits of federal climate policy. These efforts strengthened citizen engagement and helped defend key clean energy provisions during major federal policy debates.

2026 Programs

Building on its 2024 successes, MoveIndigo is now implementing both its National Campaign and Dual Resident Campaign. MoveIndigo’s National Campaign helps Democratic voters who are already moving (an estimated six million annually!) to discover desirable toss-up districts across the country where their votes will also be game changers. MoveIndigo’s Dual Resident Campaign encourages NYC and other blue-district Democrats who have second homes in toss-up districts in New York State to register to vote in those districts. (In 2024, MoveIndigo registrants made up more than 10% of the Democratic winning margin in CD-19! The strategy works and makes a difference.)

2025 Programs

In 2025, we laid the groundwork for both launching our National Campaign and re-launching our now-proven Dual Resident Campaign. For our National Campaign, we ran an innovative ad pilot designed to test whether we can successfully find, and meaningfully engage with, Democratic voters who are thinking about moving – and the answer is a resounding yes. We identified effective methods (leveraging targeting strategies like geofencing and lookalike audience building) to reach Democrats in the market to move, and we were gratified to see them seek information on our targeted districts as well as provide us their valuable contact info.

2024 Programs

Encouraging New York City Democrats who have second homes in toss up districts in New York State to register to vote in those districts. Progam will identify likely voters and target with messaging via online and print advertising.

Clean Energy States Alliance Inc. (c3)

Organization Description

Clean Energy States Alliance is a national, nonprofit coalition of state energy agencies working since 2002 to develop and implement effective clean energy policies and programs. CESA helps states expand the use of clean energy to address climate change, advance equity, and strengthen local economies. Much of CESA’s work takes place behind the scenes, strategically informing, guiding, and assisting state energy agencies. CESA identifies and promotes innovative policies and provides opportunities for state officials to discuss their ideas, plans, and concerns in confidential settings. Foundation support enables CESA to reach beyond its member states to provide guidance to all states.

2026 Programs

Strategic planning with CESA’s state members produced an ambitious plan. CESA will:

Work with states to use strategic messaging to counter attacks on the affordability and reliability of renewable energy;
Help states preserve their clean energy standards and goals;
Provide structured support to enable states to use VPPs to deliver grid reliability, emissions reductions, and consumer benefits;
Help states with terminated EPA Solar for All awards still bring solar benefits to disadvantaged communities;
Prompt states to promote innovative technologies (e.g., battery storage, geothermal networks, plug-in solar, building solutions) that can thrive in the current environment.

2025 Programs

As the tide pulled away from renewable energy in Washington, CESA ensured that the momentum for state clean energy development continued. CESA’s "Federal Energy News" newsletter remained a valuable resource for documenting the unprecedented clawback of federal funding, while CESA staff convened states—often on an emergency basis—to provide news and program details. CESA took over hosting meetings for states that had previously been hosted by federal agencies and offered robust technical assistance. Active programs and working groups for states focused on low-income solar, offshore wind, energy equity, energy storage policy, community solar, and energy affordability.

Our country’s future depends on younger generations showing up in democracy. HeadCount gives them the tools to join the conversation. HeadCount works with partners across entertainment and culture to get more young people civically engaged than any other nonprofit in the country. Our focus is first-time voters, unaffiliated voters, and underrepresented young people, helping them to build lifelong habits of democratic participation and strengthening civic culture nationwide.

We partner with leading artists, creators, brands, and media platforms to engage fans through trusted peer-to-peer conversations at live events and online, guiding them from voter registration to Election Day and into ongoing civic participation. Our hybrid model combines nationwide field programs, innovative digital campaigns like Good to Vote, and culturally relevant initiatives serving diverse communities. We combat political disillusionment by fostering connection, community, and accessible civic engagement.

2025 Programs

Together with our volunteers, artist partners, and supporters, we registered more than 39,600 voters and helped over 1 million people get ready to vote — whether by checking their registration, finding out what was on their ballot, or making a plan to cast their vote. 1,111,064 people got ready to vote at HeadCount.org, 766,802 total voter actions taken, 39,600 new voters registered, and 1,096 field events. We received and processed voter registration forms from 47 states.

HeadCount is a 501(c)3 organization that drives participation in democracy through music, popular culture and digital media. We work with popular talent to turn their fans into voters, activists and leaders. Our model is to meet young voters where they are, at concerts, festivals, cultural events and online.

The People's WhistleBlower Campaign (Group)

Organization Description

A 2026 public grassroots signature campaign calling out corruption and wrongdoing by the US President and Executive Branch, and Congress for failing to do their Constitutional duty as an equal branch and a guardrail. We use the construct of a Whistleblower complaint to formalize and address the wrongdoing that, unchecked, has evident public harm. The key advantages of this approach are: 1) Formal: over two dozen Citations. 2) “Served" to every member of Congress, not just three from my zip code. 3) Dynamic: add new wrongdoing - don’t start over again. 4) Chenoweth-level signature possibility: sustained, cumulative, inclusive.

2026 Programs

We need funds to make our website operational to capture massive signers and to link with other major grassroots orgs, such as No Kings, Indivisible, Common Cause, Third Act to achieve Chenoweth-level signature participation. With a six or seven-digit signature participation, we will “serve” each member of Congress with this People’s Complaint. Requires funding for: Licensing of signature management software, Document servicing to Congress, Social media marketing, Licensing artwork for a downloadable social media badge, Liaison with Congress, Support via anonymized participation reports for 2026 federal candidates from their districts, Other organizational matters.

Organization Description

Impact DAE increases voter turnout through a data-driven civic engagement model built with Johns Hopkins University’s SNF Agora Institute, identifying top trending local and national musicians by location using Google Maps. Founded and operated by music industry leaders, Impact DAE produces data-booked free concerts that the public can access by checking voter registration or submitting a selfie from outside a polling place or at home with a blank, unmarked ballot, with free options for future and non-voters. Impact DAE also registers new, unregistered, and underserved voters through precise digital campaigns featuring top artists in each precinct.

2026 Programs

We have developed a scalable digital voter registration and turnout program for more than 3,000 artists and influencers identified through Johns Hopkins data as having large bases of low-propensity voters. Each artist receives a custom-branded voter engagement portal with guided messaging that leads fans through registration, turnout, and community encouragement. Campaigns are amplified with targeted digital ad spend to reach historically underrepresented voters. Piloted during the Fall 2025 NYC mayoral election, the program is ready to scale nationally in 2026. Our 2026 plan includes activating these tools nationwide and producing 27 free Impact Concerts to engage over one million hard-to-reach voters.

2025 Programs

In 2025, Impact Data & Events executed large-scale, data-driven civic engagement through live music. We produced 18 free concerts, with 9 of 16 artist bookings guided by a Johns Hopkins University data model and delivered in partnership with Live Nation Urban. In the two weeks leading up to the 2024 election, #iVoted Concerts activated 16 free shows across 12 cities, including eight on Election Day. These events generated 38,665 RSVPs through verified civic engagement actions, each creating a new contact and participation touchpoint, including voter registration checks, polling-place selfies, first-election pledges for youth, and inclusive engagement options for ineligible voters.

Activate America (PAC)

Organization Description

Activate America mobilizes volunteers to help Democrats win majorities in Congress. We’ve built a vast network of passionate volunteers and grassroots groups who participate in voter outreach. Through this network, both individuals and community-based groups can act locally while accessing top-notch scripts, tools, and targeted data. We value our volunteers as essential partners, not mere participants, earning us praise for providing the best volunteer experience.

2026 Programs

We are going to be postcarding, texting, phonebanking, and canvassing in the most competitive House and Senate races in the country. In addition, we are piloting a distributed relational organizing program in Arizona's 1st Congressional district, where we will build a large network of volunteer driven power to flip AZ-01.

2025 Programs

We conducted almost 4 million voter contacts, a record for Activate America in an off year. Our volunteers worked to help elect Governors in New Jersey and Virginia, retain Supreme Court judges in Pennsylvania, and to pass Proposition 50 in California, which was an effort to fight back against Republican mid-decade redistricting.

2024 Programs

Activate America uses our network of 30,000 volunteers to reach low-propensity voters in 7 states by postcarding, texting, phone banking, and canvassing. We provide positive and negative accountability messaging, we help voters sign up to vote by mail, and we provide key voting logistics information and reminders.

TurnUp | Turnout Activism Inc. (c3)

Organization Description

TurnUp's youth-led voter registration and turnout program targets competitive states and congressional districts. We conduct paid student-led on-campus voter registration and turnout drives at high schools and low-turnout community college campuses; relational voter registration and turnout programs targeting unregistered and low-propensity young voters; an educational internship program empowering youth to conduct text-banking, phone-banking, and canvassing; and innovative digital activities reminding young people to register and vote. Since 2019, we have registered over 600,000 young voters, texted 45 million young voters, talked to 1.2 million young voters via phone, and graduated 18,000 youth from our internship program.

2026 Programs

In 2026, TurnUp is focused on registering 190,000 young voters in swing states and districts, while mobilizing over five million to vote. TurnUp is organizing the following programs to accomplish these goals paid student-led on-campus voter registration and turnout drives at high schools and low-turnout community college campuses; relational voter registration and turnout programs targeting unregistered and low-propensity young voters; an educational internship program empowering youth to conduct text-banking, phone-banking, and canvassing; and digital activities reminding young people to register and vote.

2025 Programs

We achieved our 2025 goal of registering 170,000 young voters who will be critical to the 2026 election! This is the highest number of registrants TurnUp has achieved in an off-year. Young people in our targeted counties were motivated to register to vote, so our fellowship, relational, and internship programs ran at almost election-year levels this year, allowing us to reach this goal. TurnUp also played an important role in the 2025 elections in Virginia, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey through our voter registration and turnout efforts.

2024 Programs

TurnUp's Youth-led GOTV program targets low-turnout community college campuses and low-propensity young voters. The program engages over 18,000 young interns, on-campus organizers, and relational organizers to utilize the following strategies: on-campus GOTV events, relational GOTV campaigns, canvassing, phone-banking, and text-banking.

We’re on a mission to strengthen democracy by increasing high impact youth civic action and closing the gap between young people who want to take civic action and those who actually take action. TurnUp includes five integrated programs that work together to increase youth voter  registration and turnout: the internship training program; online program; on campus and relational voter registration and turnout program; mobile app; and ideas incubator. Dirtroad Organizing is a 501(c)(4) organization with a 501(c)(3) fiscal sponsor that provides training and long term mentorship to support organizers, staff, and candidates who are working towards an equitable and just democracy in rural America. We cultivate grassroots leadership at the state and local level through 4-month cohorts for individuals and trainings for local groups. Deep investment in rural communities is how we secure the policies needed for a durable, just, and equitable future for all. We are building a new kind of politics that is rooted in community and values, not partisanship.

2026 Programs

Dirtroad is training more rural leaders in the first half of 2026 than we ever have in such a short time period. We will traing 50-60 rural leaders over the next six months. We are also running a partner program with Run For Something to train rural leaders until 40 to run for office. NOTE: This collaboration with RFS is c3-compliant. After people graduate from our Cohorts, we support them 1-1 through the election. We plan to double the number of DO alums that we're supporting in 2026 (compared to 2024). This will be a big lift!

To date, we've trained 145+ rural leaders from 34 states. As far as we know, we are the only national training program for rural progressive candidates, staffers, and organizers. We ran more Cohorts in 2025 than we ever had before, running 7 Cohorts. This included a partner Cohort with the Maine Organic Farmers and Gardeners Association to bring together rural agricultural/food leaders for a month-long program. Organization Description

PowerMoves is on a mission to build a more civil, just and inclusive society by helping people who are moving find communities where they will be happy, safe, and welcome – and where their votes will be powerful. To facilitate this, we have launched a Voter Impact Index (V-Impact) tool that helps people understand the impact of their vote based on their zip code. We also recommend communities where people can have high voter impact scores AND have their quality of life priorities are met.

2026 Programs

We have launched an initial version of our Voter Impact Index (V-Impact), which projects the impact of your vote in any zip code. V-Impact is a non-partisan index, which assigns to every zip code a voter impact score that is calculated based on the competitiveness of six federal and state elections associated with that unique zip code. Individuals can use the score to identify competitive locations where they can meet their quality of life priorities like: LGBTQ+ safety, tax friendliness, reproductive health care rights, and climate resiliency.

2025 Programs

In 2025, our focus was building the Voter Impact Index which is live and can be accessed at: https://www.powermoves.vote/voter-impact-index-lookup-1. We also identified communities that are electorally competitive AND that meet the 4 quality of life priorities we identified: LGBTQ+ safety, tax friendliness, reproductive health care rights, and climate resiliency. We have also focused on colleges that are in competitive districts. We just began outreach to movers near the close of 2025.

Organization Description

Silver Spring Progressive Action exists to tip tight elections for a more just, equitable and compassionate country. It’s our lane – so much that it’s in our logo. We are focused solely on elections because we believe that having the right people in the right positions makes it easier to bring about lasting progressive change. We engage in a range of actions, depending on what candidates need and where our energies and abilities lie, including voter registration, letter writing, phonebanking, canvassing, deep canvassing, fundraising, and social media.

2026 Programs

In 2026, we will use all of our tools to:
- Win Democratic control of the US House
- Maintain all Dem-held Senate seats and flip two additional seats
- Increase the number of states with Democratic governors, Secretaries of State, and Attorneys General
- Maintain control of all Dem-led legislatures and expand beyond that
- Develop and implement new approaches to reach & persuade voters more effectively
- Where the opportunity presents itself, build the Democratic bench by building strength in state legislatures, electing future progressive champs
- Defending voting rights and access

2025 Programs

In 2025, we helped win the Wisconsin Supreme Court election thereby maintaining the liberal majority, helped flip the Virginia governorship and expanded the Democratic majority in the Virginia House of Delegates, and developed new approaches to reach and persuade voters more effectively, along with a new training program to increase volunteer effectiveness. We did this via phonebanking (60K calls, including a new auto-dialer program), letter-writing (29K letters, including a new candidate-specific turnout/persuasion template with an RCT to evaluate it), canvassing (43K doors, including a deep canvassing program) and raising $140,000 (for candidates, democracy defense, and new media).

Throughout 2025, Spark Climate Solutions advanced four major areas where better science and coordination can unlock rapid climate impact. Our Enteric Methane work focuses on scaling credible livestock mitigation through scientific roadmaps, market and policy alignment, and the Global Enteric Methane Impact Alliance (GEMIA) is the industry hub for coordinated action. Our Atmospheric Methane Removal program is developing the evidence, governance frameworks, and research community needed to assess and advance safe, system-level methane removal approaches. In Agricultural Nitrogen, we are mapping high-potential interventions and identifying catalytic pathways for field building. For Warming-Induced Emissions, we are strengthening science, monitoring, and policy readiness to address emerging risks.

EOPA Code Blue Water Solutions (c4)

Organization Description

EOPA Code Blue is a nonpartisan network mobilizing former and current lawmakers to solve the climate emergency, ensuring environmental justice, and protecting our lands, waters, and democracy. EOPA Code Blue trains lawmakers through our Public Leadership Certificate Program with the University of San Francisco, inspires through value-based storytelling/media and video production, and organizes via peer-to-peer policy advocacy to enact climate solutions via international, national, state, and local programs. EOPA Code Blue is the only national organization mobilizing veterans who are lawmakers peer-to-peer to impact environmental policies. We work with elected officials in all 50 states and increasingly globally.

2. Clean energy deployment, including advancing offshore wind and highlighting local renewables projects.

Amazon Employees for Climate Justice (AECJ) is a member-led organization of Amazon tech workers that uses our leverage as a highly valued workforce to pressure Amazon’s leadership to change course on environmental and climate justice. 2025 Programs

AECJ’s Collective Watchdog Program works to daylight Amazon’s greenwashing and highlight tech workers’ stories and critiques to counter Amazon’s PR, in order to keep public and employee focus on the company’s climate and workers’ rights record. We also build cross-class solidarity with logistics workers, and support tech workers in collaborating with and augmenting the work of community-based groups on the frontlines of data center expansion. Meanwhile, our Strategic Organizing Program is building a durable worker-led organization by blending grassroots campaign techniques with labor organizing strategies. Currently, our work is centered around the theme of a “Workers’ Vision for AI.”

In 2026, the Ella Baker Center (EBC) will navigate a volatile political landscape shaped by elections, shrinking social safety nets, and growing attacks on reform. EBC will focus on defending past wins, expanding parole and youth justice work, deepening civic engagement, and building community knowledge of their rights. With limited legislative openings, EBC aims to strengthen policy implementation, amplify safety narratives, and advance people-powered strategies through the Emergent Strategy Lab. Priorities include new reports on RJA and parole, expanded inside organizing, and grounding local leadership in Oakland communities to sustain the movement for safety, freedom, and collective power.

In 2025, the Ella Baker Center for Human Rights (EBC) is building grassroots power to advance real community safety rooted in care, not punishment. Led by systems-impacted people, EBC’s core programs include expanding membership and youth organizing, advancing justice policies shaped by incarcerated voices, and defending against tough-on-crime attacks. Key initiatives include Racial Justice Act implementation, the Inside/Outside Policy Fellowship, and the statewide prison mail program. Through Restore Oakland and the new Emergent Strategy Lab, EBC is cultivating visionary leadership and research to close prisons, expand democracy, and create lasting safety through community investment and liberation.

We know good policy begins at the ballot box. That’s why we engage under-represented voters who often decide elections. From cost-conscious citizens to disengaged young people, we connect on the issues they care about most — lower costs, affordable energy, healthier food, cleaner air and water, and access to good jobs. We aim to continue running one of the largest voter registration and mobilization programs in the country in the lead up to 2026 midterms, with a focus on high-salience voters under 35 who hold decisive power up and down the ballot.

We believe in patient capital. We don’t believe in operating election cycle to election cycle — we invest in shaping public opinion and political discourse over time. Elected Officials to Protect America is a bipartisan network of former and current lawmakers who deeply care about solving the climate emergency, ensuring environmental justice, and protecting our lands, waters, and democracy. EOPA trains lawmakers through our Public Leadership Certificate Program with the University of San Francisco, inspires through value-based storytelling/media, and organizes to enact climate solutions via international, national, state, and local programs. EOPA is the only national organization mobilizing veterans who are lawmakers on the environment. We work with elected officials in all 50 states and increasingly globally.

2025 Programs

Blue Future is hiring, training, and mobilizing young organizers to turnout young voters in Virginia, working hand-in-hand with Abigail Spanberger’s Gubernatorial campaign. So far this year, 50 young organizers in Virginia have called 33,750 young voters in just 8 weeks, helping folks register and make a plan to vote. As of August, we are prepared to hire 100 organizers for our Fall cohort and have received 133 applications but currently have funding for 50, leaving a gap of $37,500. We’re raising an additional $15,000 to support local grants to High School and College Democrats in Virginia to increase attendance at their volunteer phonebanks and canvasses.

Blue Future is a youth-led organization that recruits, trains and deploys youth to progressive campaigns. They offer stipends + microgrants to youth-led initiatives that increase youth participation in elections. Additionally, Blue Future provides leadership coaching and career development support to build the future pipeline of progressive leaders in the US.

The Source LGBT+ Center is a trusted hub for advocacy, empowerment, and connection in California’s Central Valley. We engage and uplift LGBTQ+ individuals—especially youth, BIPOC, trans, and rural residents—through voter education, civic engagement, and grassroots organizing. In 2025, The Source LGBT+ Center offers over 30 programs supporting LGBTQ+ individuals across Tulare and Kings Counties. Our services include youth and senior groups, transgender support, mental health resources, HIV prevention, and gender-affirming care navigation. We provide free therapy, support groups, and a welcoming drop-in center. Our outreach includes school-based programs, rural services, and community events like Pride Visalia and Rainbow Run. We also advance civic engagement through voter education, leadership development, and advocacy. American Solar Grazing Association (c6)

Organization Description

ASGA is a farmer-centric non-profit with over 1,000 members. Since 2018, ASGA has supported graziers, the solar industry, and the agrivoltaic community by developing an extensive library of virtual education resources, technical guides, sample contracts, short films, and other materials. ASGA is the leading authority in solar grazing and has defined the best practices for the industry. As seasoned land stewards, educators, rural community members, and connectors, the association is uniquely positioned to develop narratives and perform outreach. Organization Description

OCEJ is a fiscally sponsored project of OneOC and our mission is to advance environmental justice in the ancestral lands of the Acjachemen and Tongva Nations, now known as Orange County. Our goals include building a grassroots movement by training resident leaders, especially youth; expanding an engaged base of voters and activists; and forming coalitions with diverse community stakeholders. We aim to improve environmental quality in underserved communities by addressing issues like lead contamination in Santa Ana, soil and blood lead levels in residents, water quality in communities of color across OC, and the protection of local Indigenous sacred sites.

2025 Programs

As a fiscal project of OneOC, OCEJ’s 2025 programs will build off of the momentum of our past year’s accomplishments to expand our work across the region and create new coalitions to advance environmental justice in Orange County. Our priorities for this year include:
1) Expanding access to soil, water, and air testing in residential communities across Orange County;
2) building support networks so communities can collectively respond to natural disasters and other emergencies; and finally, building leadership among Orange County low-income youth of color through our Defending the Sacred internship and summer organizing academy.

Rhizome (c3)

Organization Description

Rhizome's core purpose is to build collective power for young people to create the safer, happier, healthier world they want to live in. Launched by 90 co-founders, we train youth leaders to organize and increase civic engagement in their local communities.

2025 Programs

Our flagship program is the Civic Service Fellowship, a leadership development program for emerging leaders in high school who learn to organize and increase civic engagement. Local Fellowship Chapters are led by paid Youth Organizers, who support teams of Fellows to lead local actions around the inclusive, nonviolent, and nonpartisan ideas they are most passionate about. We led over 100 local actions in spring 2025 and have registered over 24,000 students to vote in the last three years. Rhizome has teams of under 1,000 Fellows taking actions from over 200 high schools. Our goal is 300 high schools next year.

Rhizome was co-founded by 90 young people in 2021. Our purpose is to build collective power for young people to create the safer, happier, healthier world they want to live in. We're engaged in voter registration, GOTV work, and student-led narrative change around youth voice and representation in 2024.

Our core programs empower Black women to lead transformative change through:
1) Justice Agenda Advocacy: Driving impactful policy changes at federal, state, and local levels by creating, distributing, and providing hands-on training with advocacy toolkits and compelling social media content.
2) Black Women Candidates Research & Tracking: Monitoring and analyzing every Black woman candidate running in every election nationwide to ensure their visibility, viability, and victories.
3) Leadership Development: Cultivating the skills, confidence, and networks of Black women political leaders and volunteers, including strengthening and expanding the Win With Black Women State Network to sustain enduring political power.

Sisters Lead Sisters Vote leverages peer to peer influence to disrupt mis- and dis-information by providing our Under 30 cohort with guidance on creating core messaging products supported by curated information and polling. VoteRiders’ mission is to ensure that no eligible voter is prevented from casting a ballot that counts due to voter ID laws, either directly from lack of acceptable ID or indirectly because of voter confusion. We provide information about voter ID requirements for every voter in every state, via our toll-free Voter ID Helpline (866-ID-2-VOTE), online resources, educational wallet cards and our on-the-ground teams. Voters can always connect with a VoteRiders team member through our Chatbot, Helpline, and website to ask questions and receive free assistance. Indivisible Marin is a community of nearly 12,000 volunteers committed to taking action to create a more just, caring, and inclusive America. Nearly half of our volunteers are from outside California. Currently, our focus is to help our members take action in the fight to protect our democracy and the American people from the harms of the current Administration. Protesting, advocacy with elected officials, and other programs covered on our website are important ways to take action. We will also campaign for Democrats in various elections this year and ready ourselves for the crucial work of winning in 2026.

IndiMarin runs weekly phonebanks and postcarding events supporting Democratic candidates in battleground toss up races. We also have an online postcarding program and participate in canvasses in the Central Valley. We work with our state party and Activate America with platforms that target low propensity/low information Democrat leaning voters.

Indivisible Marin is a community of over 4,300 volunteers committed to taking action to create a more just, caring and inclusive America. As the legislature works to extend the program through 2045, environmental justice advocates are mobilizing to ensure that equity, not industry influence, shapes California’s clean energy future. Subnational Funding Readiness & Performance (SFRP) is a flagship initiative that provides pro bono technical assistance to help capacity-constrained entities pursue and implement climate investments. Conceived, launched, and managed by Hua Nani Partners (HNP), SFRP connects subnational governments, tribes, and community-based organizations with the technical expertise and surge capacity needed to translate federal, state, local, and philanthropic funding into equitable, community-centered climate action. Backed by HNP’s deep policy, strategy, and technical expertise across sectors, SFRP is designed to close capacity gaps and ensure that climate investments reach communities that need them most.

As many subnational entities face hiring freezes, layoffs, and staffing shortages, SFRP provides no-cost surge capacity to ease administrative burdens and optimize limited resources. We help awardees maintain compliance with federal grant requirements, especially Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) obligations, safeguarding critical climate investments. In parallel, we identify alternative state, local, philanthropic, and corporate funding opportunities to help under-resourced entities navigate an increasingly complex funding landscape. With the rollback of the Justice40 Initiative, SFRP remains committed to advancing equitable climate solutions by ensuring that local government-funded projects reflect community priorities, anchored by the launch of the Community Link Pilot Program.

Clean and Prosperous California (C3)

Organization Description

Despite the cap-and-trade program's prolonged existence in California and coverage of over 85% of the state’s emissions, there is no organization to educate and communicate with the public about how the program is working, leaving room for misinformed critiques that skew public opinion and undermine the state's ability to meet its climate targets. CapCA fills a much needed gap for an independent, centralized, and reliable resource for the public to access information about how cap-and-trade works, how cap-and-trade is implemented in California, and how cap-and -trade benefits state residents and businesses.

In 2025, we will work to provide nonpartisan research on the performance of California’s cap-and-trade program to date and opportunities for improvement, share that research through public communications efforts, and engage in constructive policy dialogue.

Poder Latinx is strategically positioned to empower the Latinx community, fostering a resilient progressive voting bloc through our Integrated Voter Engagement (IVE) framework. This model is grounded in six pillars: recruiting community members, fostering professional and leadership growth, executing comprehensive voter engagement throughout the electoral cycle, refining Latinx voter databases, achieving issue-based victories, and pioneering narrative and cultural shifts.

2024 Programs

Poder Latinx targets 57,000 new and low-propensity Latinx voters through a canvassing program including door knocks, calls, and texts. Our leadership development program focuses on cultivating 25 new Latina leaders and our community organizing aims to expand our base by 5,200 members.

Poder Latinx is a civic and social justice organization. Our vision is to build political power for the Latinx community to become decision-makers in our country’s democracy and win on economic, immigrant, and environmental issues. Our mission is to build a sustained voting bloc of Latinxs in Arizona, California, Florida, Georgia, Texas, and Washington. Organization Description

Welcoming Neighbors Network (WNN) is America’s only national network of independent state and local pro-housing advocacy organizations. Currently comprising 46 organizations across 29 states, WNN is reshaping housing and land use policy in the United States – from scarcity and sprawl to abundance, affordability, and sustainability. WNN members spearheaded nearly every major state and municipal level victory for pro-housing, pro-climate land use policy over the last six years. Five days before Veterans Day, and just months after their Independence Day 2024 founding, Independent Veterans of America (IVA) celebrated a historic performance by eleven IVA-endorsed candidates in five states. IVA supported independent veteran candidates at all levels — from local school boards to the US Senate. And we sent shockwaves across the political world by winning an unprecedented 36% of our races.

Organization Description

The Local Progress Impact Lab (the Impact Lab) brings together local leaders, partners, and experts to build the knowledge, skills, and leadership needed to advance racial, economic, and gender justice at the local and state level. Our membership is made up of more than 1,500 local elected officials who together form the Local Progress network. The Impact Lab provides leadership development and governance training programming and policy, communications, and organizing support to our members and supports them in utilizing a model of collaborative governance that brings historically marginalized and oppressed communities to the center of policymaking.

Our work is member-driven, and as such, our issue focus areas can shift to respond to dynamic environments that create windows of opportunity for elected officials to drive an equitable agenda forward. In 2025, we will focus on climate change and climate justice, housing, economic justice, public safety, public education, and immigrant rights. Programming includes policy primers, issue deep-dives, webinars to launch and distribute resources the Impact Lab creates in collaboration with our partners, such as reports, policy memos, messaging toolkits, and case studies. Looking ahead, in 2025 and beyond, Common Defense will continue prioritizing ongoing base-building activities, providing members with the training and education necessary to hone their organizing skills, leverage the power of their voice, and participate in our current and future electoral, democracy, immigration and climate campaigns. We are looking forward to scaling up our direct voter contact campaigns in 2026 and reaching even more voters during the midterms.

2024 Programs

Common Defense is uniting veterans across party lines to ensure Vice President Kamala Harris becomes the next President of the United States. This is the only veteran-led effort with a track record of reaching voters through high-impact grassroots organizing, earned media, and visibility actions. In the remaining phase of the election, Common Defense will target voters in five key states which will determine the White House and control of Congress and use our twelve organizing staff and our “Corps” of 670 existing trained in-state super-volunteers to mobilize military veterans to support the Democratic ticket using an array of tactics. We aim to persuade the critical constituency of swing voters especially suburban, patriotic, working class and middle class voters who are a decisive component of reconstructing the anti-MAGA coalition.

Founded in 2016, Common Defense is the nation’s largest grassroots organization of US military veterans and the only one that invests in the leadership of its members through training and deployment in campaigns that connect directly to their history of service, including voting rights, climate justice, and anti-militarism.

Greenlight wins approval for clean energy projects and ordinances at the local level by running campaigns that mobilize local constituents to support clean energy at moments of critical importance. Our 2024 programmatic work will advance 4.4 Gigawatts of clean energy to the grid, avoiding approximately 2 million tons of Greenhouse Gas pollution as a result.

Mission

Greenlight’s mission is to leverage grassroots power to win local siting and permitting campaigns that get more clean energy projects built more quickly across the U.S. We will do this by partnering with local groups and activists to run strategic campaigns that win approval for clean energy projects in their communities.

In 2024, Seed the Vote sent over 5,000 volunteers to canvass for federal candidates and issues in Arizona, Nevada, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin and Michigan, in partnership with the grassroots organizations that lead the work in those states. In 2025, we will be sending canvassers to Wisconsin for the Supreme Court election on April 1, and exploring a fall program in Virginia, Pennsylvania, or New Jersey. In 2026, we win back the House.

Mission

Seed the Vote is a project of Everyday People PAC. Everyday People PAC is a grassroots, social justice political fund mobilizing volunteers to defeat Trumpism. EPP supports the electoral work of grassroots organizations in swing states who are working to build the long term power of working class communities and communities of color. Seed the Vote recruits, trains and mobilizes thousands of volunteers from across the U.S. to help defeat the Right and grow people-powered movements for the long term. We partner with organizations rooted in working-class communities and communities of color in battleground states that are organizing towards key elections and building grassroots political power year-round. Our goal is to contribute to the essential work of building a progressive movement that is capable of transforming U.S. politics in order to make possible much bigger wins—on climate, healthcare, housing, good jobs, immigration, policing, reproductive justice, and more—over the next decade.

After the 2024 election, Democrats have committed to working on wage increases and ending subminimum wages. In 2025, we’re seeing momentum for policy changes in Illinois, Maryland, New York, Ohio, Arizona, and California. One Fair Wage Action will support legislative campaigns in IL, MD, and NY, while in OH, AZ, and CA, we’ll push for ballot measures, mobilizing workers to gather signatures and engage voters.

2024 Programs

Led by women of color, One Fair Wage Action is collecting voter registrations while gathering signatures for a minimum wage ballot measure. They mobilize workers, employers, and consumers nationwide to enhance wages and working conditions in the service sector, aiming to abolish all subminimum wages in the United States.

Mission

One Fair Wage Action is a national organization seeking to raise wages, improve working conditions, and build power for workers in the service sector, and end all subminimum wages in the United States. In particular, we organize service workers to lead legislation and ballot measure campaigns to raise wages in their industry, and also engage them in large-scale peer-to-peer voter engagement programs to support these wage increases and candidates who support them, driving change from the ground up.

Register Her empowers underrepresented women—especially young women of color—to register, vote, and lead in their communities. Through our Organizing Fellows Program and Social Services Initiative, we train trusted messengers to embed civic engagement in everyday spaces. In 2025 and beyond, we will focus on year-round voter education, mentorship, and Gen Z leadership activation to sustain participation. By strengthening grassroots organizing, we ensure more women can shape elections and the policies that impact their lives.

2024 Programs

Our program offers paid fellowships to women organizers embedded within community-based organizations to target outreach toward women. We also provide free civic education training and resources to staff of social service organizations, empowering them to feel comfortable inviting clients to learn more about voting. Our fellows provide additional support.

The Carbon Cycle Institute (CCI) is focused on building the local and regional capacity across California and other target states to plan, implement and scale agricultural and nature-based climate solutions. Vet Voice Foundation’s direct mail program, targeting approximately 7.1 million households in states with high veteran and military family populations, will increase voter turnout among veteran and military family voters. Additionally, we will layer our mail program with veteran-centric targeted digital ads and rural radio ads in key markets.

Permit Power Action Fund (c4)

Organization Description

We work to make it cheap and easy for American families to power their lives with clean electricity, by eliminating the bureaucratic barriers that get in the way of installing rooftop solar and home batteries. Rooftop solar costs 7-8x more to install in the United States than in other developed countries, primarily driven by unnecessary red tape and bureaucratic barriers. Dramatically reducing the cost of rooftop solar would see huge increases in solar and battery deployment, especially by low and middle income families; dramatically reduce the cost of the clean energy transition; and deliver huge greenhouse gas reductions.

2025 Programs

We work to make it cheap and easy for American families to power their lives with clean electricity, by eliminating the bureaucratic barriers that get in the way of installing rooftop solar and home batteries. Our 2025 work is focused on ensuring all homeowners can get a permit instantly and online to install rooftop solar and home batteries, driving down cost and increasing deployment, targeting AZ, CA, CO, IL, MD, MN, NJ, NY and TX. We will also be preparing to work in other states such as FL, and creating a new program focused on streamlining interconnection.

Community Change Action and our grassroots partners will use relational organizing to reach 250,000 Black, Latino, Native, AAPI, immigrant, women, and young voters to support navigating voting systems and mobilize for values-aligned candidates. Relational voter programs are key to engaging hard-to-reach and hard-to-find voters outside the traditional political machine.

Wearing Dems Make Life Better apparel is a statement of support for one's values and those of Democrats everywhere. It will give citizens opportunities to spark conversations, raise awareness, and inspire others to learn more about the positive impact of electing Democrats to lead our country.

Mission

Increase positive messaging about Democrats and prompt more conversations with voters via a line of merchandise, especially t-shirts, with the slogan Dems Make Life Better, and a list of ways they do so on the back of the shirt. Tookits to support the wearers are also available on the website.

Weekly we phone bank and text bank as in a community on zoom, we canvass monthly in neighboring districts including CA-27 and CA-22. Voter registration is a priority for us at the colleges in these districts during the school year. Hosting community events helps volunteers stay engaged and energized.

PHB supports an 11/5/2024 ballot measure to repeal the City of Huntington Beach Public Library Parent/Guardian Review Committee for its children's library books for offensive content. Two campaigns will occur:
1. Gather a minimum of 13,000 qualified signatures.
2. Run a campaign to educate voters about this ballot measure.

The Protect HB (PHB) campaign was formed to turn out HB voters in the March 5, 2024 Presidential Primary election to vote NO on three ballot measures A-B-C. PHB is formed to educate Huntingotn Beach voters about local issues that impact their every day lives.
