Indivisible Northampton (Group)

Volunteers in our postcard program reach low-propensity voters in highly competitive races. By reducing or removing financial barriers to volunteers who wish to participate, we increase the number of active volunteers.

We will phone bank into states with key US Senate races and key competitive CD races, canvass in NH, and do voter registration, voter protection, and postcard/letter writing into key campaigns.

The Northampton Democratic City Committee (NDCC) works to bring together local Democrats, and functions as the hub for political organizing in electoral work locally, state-wide, and nationally. In 2016, the NDCC founded the Western MA Take Back our Democracy Coalition. Ohio Citizen Action Education Fund will register voters by conducting hotspot canvassing and going door-to-door, primarily on community college campuses/areas in Cincinnati, Athens, Columbus and Cleveland.

Our program engages the public, specifically the BIPOC community, on the importance of voting—a key pillar to our democracy. We provide basic voting information on a nonpartisan basis. This election cycle, I want to target residents in two low turnout Canton (OH-13) precincts by registering voters, hopefully knocking on doors during GOTV and mailing letters similar to Vote Forward's encouraging infrequent voters to vote. We'll try to get voters to commit to a voting day and send reminders to them as their voting day approaches.
